Just out of curiosity and totally a random question for all resellers of cases………
If a reseller is opening the case to verify content, and we know randomly at any time super chase cars could be showing up, is it ok to ask the reseller to leave your order unopened?
I'm not implying anything but I found that its becoming easier for me to order cases to get the new cars I need, and the thought that maybe a super chase shows up in a case and a seller pulls and replaces.
Again just a thought, thinking out loud. Thanks!

you may ask for sealed case if you wish 🙂

as for me, 6I would rather someone examine contents before shipping to me to ensure that I get what I expected.

just a thought…

I hear you, with all the available knowledge here on TFAD and CCT, typically the case arrangement has long been verified before we ever get the chance to order it, I wouldn't imagine that a reseller would refund an open case if you were to request it because the contents didn't match what was described. I still think I would request a sealed case. Worst case scenario……..you get a variant case selection, how often does that happen 🙂

Here's my take on it:

Any time an order is placed for an item in which the full contents cannot be seen until the item is opened, it should be general knowledge that the buyer is taking an "inherent risk" that the stated contents and the actual contents may not match.  It is no different than buying a box of Baseball or Yu-Gi-Oh cards.  Everyone knows what "should" be in there but there is always a minute chance of some sort of deviation.

When I sell, if a customer orders a factory sealed case then that is exactly what they will receive.  Never have I opened a case unless a customer has specifically requested it and even then it was only to check for undamaged cards, not to match the contents.

As a buyer, it is important to look at the wording of what is being offered.  Rob is being up front by saying he is going to open the cases and his wording of "full cases" indicates such.  A 'full case' does not necessarily mean a 'sealed case'.

Thanks Jake,
My implication was never in question of Rob or any other reseller, but simply the fact that now is the time we might start seeing the super chase cars. And if you were to buy a case and spend that money on a few new ones and several repeats, and have the chance of a mind blow when you yourself open the case to find a super chase, would you or wouldn't you want a sealed case?
Also there's no dought in my mind that someone somewhere that we're selling cases and had a super chase, chances are it wouldn't make it back in that case. And if they opened the case and found one, the case price itself would skyrocket.
And by the way, congrats on 940 post.
Gone but not forgotten, RIP BBIGMIKE62

I agree with Slicepie – I have dealt with him on many occasions, I totally see his point of view.

Case contents may change. I have bought and opened the cases myself ( MATTEL and HASBRO) and realized to my dismay that those things could happen and contents MAY vary.

However, that is why you are always dealing with RESPECTABLE sellers like ROB or JAKE.  They will do- no doubts in my mind- what is right.
