Hi, my son did the McQueen and Ramone Cars. What I did for him for the eyes and the racing loops on the side of McQueen is I bought a package of make your own Bumper Stickers at Office Depot and then made the decals in Photoshop and printed them on the self-adhesive sheets. Then all he had to do was stick them on. They worked great. If they get dirty from the graphite you can actually just peel off the dirty ones and put new ones on. Also what we found best for weight placement is behind the rear axil as much as you can and then balance it out so the front doesn't lift by putting some in front of the rear axle. This allows the car to be pushed by gravity as long as possible. Also align axels so the car doesn't go crooked; rubbing the inside rails will kill you. And make sure none of your wheels vibrate when spinning fast. He won 2 to 3 trophies every year using these theories. We always had Den, Pack, and District Races.
Making custom CARS vehicles and so needed to make custom decals. After creating them in paint, I printed them on plain paper and cut them out. I used a product called "Microscale Liquid Decal Film." Brushed it on both sides, waited for it to dry, then used a brush on glue. Works very well!
