I've never been much of a Madonna fan but I have to say that she totally rocked the half-time show! The show was very well planned with fantastic choreography and Madonna's vocals were flawless. No lip-syncing this year!
I thought those guys flipping around on the bleachers were sick but that guy who was jumping on the tight rope was straight up nasty! The only flub I saw was when Madonna tried to step up on the top bleacher bench and was a bit off balance and had to step down and back up again. But like a true performer she didn't miss a beat and kept going.

I think she lip-synched. Any performance with dancing has lip syncing, she is in shape, but there wasn't a hint of breathing…
Funny how she interviewed about how there wouldn't be any wardrobe malfunctioning like Miss Jackson, but Madonna's belt came unhooked a bit before she put on the black robe.
Still thought it was pretty good and way better than the No Talent Peas, who were only performing because Fergie was a .05% owner of the Dolphins.

I must vehemently disagree. Go to YouTube and watch the Shania Twain lip-sync performance a few years back. There is no comparison.

Well comparing Shania to Madonna are really apples and oranges. Shania at a concert doesn't dance around and spin, squat and hump. She sits on a chair, walks around, etc.
Madonna has been a performer since the beginning and has perfected the concert lip synching.
Just think of how long it takes a true concert to set up in a stadium, all the sound checks, precise placement of speakers and monitors for the singer to hear their true voice. The Superbowl had to do that in about 8 minutes.
Madonna might of done some live singing, but the majority was synched and backtracked. You can run a google search and see the amount of articles on it.
Plus, remember when U2 played live and how horrible they sounded…

Didn't catch the Super Bowl, but the Doggy Bowl, and respective canine commercials, were highly entertaining.

Ok, so if possible, I may have to retract my first statement about the lip-sync thing. Apparently, according to national talk radio sources; Madonna was in fact at certain times actually singing but the power to her microphone was cut off so in essence it really was a lip-sync. And in regards to the dancers who were flipping on the bleachers and the tight rope guy, I am now less than impressed after finding out that they were from Cirque du Soleil. Had I known that originally I probably wouldn't even have started this topic.
As for U2, I vaguely remember them but what I remember more recently is the Black Eyed Peas from last year and Fergie's horrifying vocals.

Yeah, Fergie was there because she owned a slight percentage of the Dolphins, along with Gloria Estefan.

I didn't get home from work until after 7, so I watched the Super Bowl on my DVR. It was great, I got to skip all the commercials and the halftime show. All the cool commercials are on the internet. Felt like I saw the same game four years ago though.
