Actually, both versions of Fabulous Hudson Hornet are variants, as are both versions of DJ.
Holley wouldn't be a variant unless Mattel were to change something about her (style of wheels, size of mirrors, exterior color, etc.).
Conceding the point about Holley I have to disagree about the others. A variant is a deviation from the standard and is generally unintentional. The correct version is the standard so it cannot be a variant.
