I heard about that last week. I thought it was a very neat website with a lot of opportunity, but after getting on it a few times, it didn't blow my mind at all. Am ashamed it is closing but they could have done better and made it a lot more interesting.

My 5 year old used a gift card to become a member of the site for a few months. It was a lot cooler as a member instead of a guest, as you could do a lot more stuff, like use your race earnings to buy car accessories, drink fuel, and get new paint jobs. It was cool during holidays as they would "decorate" radiator springs and the surrounding area. We had fun with it, but it basically wasn't in our budget longterm. It sounds like you can try out all of the member features now for free, until the site closes.
I played it a few times when it first opened, i wanted to play it recently but i can log in and it takes me to a screen that shows my car. that's it, it wont do anything else. it must be firewall or something, i can't figure it out. anything that lets you play online against others won't work, not even xbox live i got a card a year ago and i can't use it. i have tried everything i could think of. oh well…
