mariela, I got the same exact line from him…almost closed a trade then says he traded luigi chase away but could get others…glad i never made the trade…

this guy's a scum bag…

he was asking for some crazy stuff too, all 4 kmart 2 packs, the 7 pack with frank, etc…big ticket items…

Maybe I scared him away when i told him my son was going to be so excited to see luigi/guido chase…

I just looked this up, and it's actually the same address for Derek Irvine, a former somewhat regular member on this site. We did a trade last year, and after about a month of waiting, he finally sent my package.

His email address is derekirvine@btinternet.com

Derek Leadman has a reputation as a scam artist on CTT as well.

Whether he is a member of CTT is neither here nor there…But a respected member of CTT left negative feedback about this person on the trade feedback board.

My point being, I can not find where he has posted on CTT  under a name  that is known to be his real name or a screen name like he used here.  I know about the negative feedback.   Its really too bad that he has gotten away with this.

That is a complete shock.  I have traded with Derek a few times and never had a problem with him.

I was the one who posted about him on CTT and never received any goods from him…..After 3 months he agreed to pay me $55 for what I had sent and he finally sent $40 2 months later after hounding him, then went away again…I had the same song and dance on the Luigi/Guido Chase cars….So this person has been using different names and has screwed more than one person over, eh……MAybe we should all bid on his Ebay items and just never pay  (but under a different account so the FB would not be bad!!)…….On second thought, when you stoop to their level, it makes you as bad as them….

Lessons learned, Paul (D O M)

Actually for those who have been scammed, a better revenge tactic would be to purchase an equal amount of items on eBay, send payment, wait a few weeks to get the merchandise, and then open up a PayPal complaint indicating you never got the package.  I learned this lesson the hard way last Christmas when someone from France claimed they never got my First Class parcel, which of course was untrackable and led to a chargeback (including shipping charges that I had receipts for but that PayPal didn't care to see).  Thanks to that, I send EVERYTHING Priority Mail International now.

No worries, as eBay hasn't allowed negative feedback against Buyers for a couple of years.
