Hi all,
Dont know if you remember but in June a UK trader by the name Kermit the Frog had a loose rollin bowlin mater, chase luigi, stu, Brian, toupee and shifty haulers and first five tfad checklist for trade. I needed all of these and agreed to send him the first 11 cars 2 double packs. Communications went well and I sent my package out and he said he did 3 days later. He said he got his in late July and mine would be in soon. Have not heard from him since. Not replys or nothing. I filed a ic3 claim against him but not sure if that works for international trades. Anyone ever deal with him? Anybody have any of the items I did not receive?

Sorry to hear about this xtremeroy. I hope Met or others here on Take 5 can help you with getting this squared away. We have a lot of UK members that read here, and I am sure that they do NOT want a bad UK trader ruining their rep for everyone over there. Heck, I bet some of the good standing UK members might be willing to swing by Kermit's house and turn loose Miss Piggy on him!!

Oh my I feel very bad for you. Hopefully that ol' Kermit replies back. That's why I'm still debating on trading.
There are hundreds of good folks out there in the Take 5 family. Do let one or two bad apples scare you away from trading with the very well respected members here.

Hey Roy Sorry to hear. Please email me whatever information you have on him. I will ask around.
And Yes Fillmore Big Mike is exactly right. You should not hesitate to trade with any regular traders here. Anyone here with an established trading reputation is golden.
What you do have to be careful of is someone that hasn't been around or traded much. Then I would always recommend making them ship first.
However like Mike and I said I would trust anyone on the forums who has been a regular for any length of time. Almost all vets are just top notch people with highest interigity and can be trusted for any dealing large or small.
From Jazzy to Mariela, John in Mo. Rob, Julia, Kevin and many others you can't go wrong in having the pleasure of trading with.
I have sent hundreds of dollars in cash and or cars to many here without a worry and will continue to do so.

Xtremeroy, that's bulls#*t, some people just plain suck. I felt the same, hesitent, unsure. I simply pm'd certain folks and asked if someone was trustworthy for sells and trades and received great feed back. I don't know many folks here but I would safely tell you;
BBMIKE62
Slicepie
dumroamin
Mariela
Are great honest people that I have personally made transactions with.
Gosh I'm so mad for you right now. If I had anything you needed I would give it to ya!

Ironically, Kermit the Frog's gravatar was Lotso the Hugging Bear. Maybe someone in the UK can find this guy and tie him to the front of a garbage truck.
Another fun idea is messing with him via British Customs. They are notorious in charging large duties on high-dollar parcels. You could get a little revenge by sending a relatively cheap, lightweight Priority Mail envelope, and indicate the value as some crazy high dollar figure – $2,375 sounds good — the customs duties would hit him in the pocketbook for sure!

I'm so sorry to hear of your trouble with this guy! I hope our UK members may know something helpful about him, or send the T5AD UK squad of red squirrels to shake him down.
I do want to say for anyone reading this and wondering about doing a UK trade, that I wouldn't hesitate to trade with UK member Chiesurin. I've had many great, fair, expedient dealings with him – a genuinely great T5er.

That really sucks!
Sorry about that Roy, but it would of being me perhaps…
Because I was trading with him a L&G chase, and he told me he didn't have it anymore, then 2 weeks later he came to me again and we were going to trade again because he found another one, but we didn't close the deal, so now seeing what happened to you, I was "lucky".

Would it be appropriate to post his actual name and city, in case he should show up on here or CTT under a different ID?

I think his location would be appropriate, not his name.

Heck, I'd list his name, address, phone number, Google Earth coordinates…
I've also been wondering if this is the same UK person who ruined some trades a couple years back.

Yeah, sounds like Louise from the UK all over again… Several of us got burned by that witch. Oh well, it happens. Fortunately, it happens once in a very blue moon. I can say that I am 1 for several hundred when it comes to bad trades, so please don't let one instance sway you from trading. You may want to stay within your own country until you get more comfortable, as it is easier to track and file claims on packages sent within the US, but don't throw in the towel.

And from all the ones he had, he told me that one take5er bought it for $100, now it's true or false?
Also it's weird that from his/her emails, there's never a name written!
And weird that you didn't have an actual name to send the box to…
