So far there have been four variations on Rod Torque Redline (that I know of) with one more, Rod Torque Redline with boot, announced but not yet released.

I suspect the non-metallic cars were early production versions; the eyes and mouth are the same as on the 'later' dk blue metallic basic car.

FYI – they're not really variations when they are purposely made and marketed as different vehicles.  The first two yes, but the last two definitely not.

Fair enough. Laugh I had included damaged and L&S because they are also dark blue metallic and that makes the case for the other blue being incorrect.

 

I am also trying to sort out Raoule Caroule; does he have a black band above the windshield or not? He does in non-Mattel versions and in Mattel's plastic 1:55 version but he does not in Mattel's regular diecast and the puzzle car versions.
