Three versions of Raoul ÇaRoule in 1:55 so far:

Track set car is plastic but reasonably heavy and is the only version to have the black band over the windshield. The only obvious decal is across the top of the rear spoiler. At the rear the body should be light blue, the track set car is dark blue; none of the versions does a good job of repesenting the vertical rear window in the tail.

Single car and puzzle car seem to be the same diecast car with silver paint having been substituted for white on the puzzle car. The two have different serial numbers but the numbers are in the exact same place on the chassis, this could mean both cars came off the same assembly line.

PLastic Embarassed <— Embarrassed by the word.

(when you scroll your mouse over that guy it's spelled Embarassed , and spell check says thats wrong, it has 2 r's. Surprised )

When i saw that pic of the 3 cars, i thought the last one was metallic. LOL Laugh

Ordinarily I don't go for the plastic cars either. We have a Lightning McQueen from a Cars 1 set that is more peeling stickers than anything; really awful.

But most Cars 2 cars seem to have plastic chassis now. The Raoul ÇaRoule in the set may be plastic, but it has the same heft as the other Raoul ÇaRoules and only the one sticker. I think it has the better paint job so for now at least it is my favorite of the three versions.

Our Dragon Lightning McQueen from the Tokyo Mater playset has peeling stickers too.  I would try to glue them back on but the headlights are so tiny, I'm afraid I will just make a big mess.Frown

For the record, the big 1:24 (maybe, I'm not good with scales) RC Raoul with the moving eyes has the black stripe and 6 instead of 06.

Just FYI.

Funny how the toy companies can't seem to get it right. Thanks for the added info. I wonder if there's a 'chargers' version also?

I also left out the 1:55 pull back Raoul. We have one and it does have the black windshield band.

Speaking of stickers on Cars, I've noticed that diecast Cars 2 Maters now sport a rear sticker instead of a decal, much like the plastic Maters did during the Toon era.  I haven't checked all of the different Cars 2 Maters, but I'm certain I've seen this on a few; I think it was Race Team Mater, Spy-Glass Mater, and Pit Crew Mater.  Also, due to the fact of more plastic parts in the Cars 2 cars castings, we're seeing lots more decal trouble.  Carla Veloso is a good example of this.  It's hard to find one with a truly smooth decal job.  Is anyone seeing decal peeling or stickers coming off of their Cars 2 diecast cars during play?
