Just like the title says, Merry Christmas to all T5ers around the world! Hope you all have a chance to spend time with your families and ponder the reason for the season.

From a "Cars" point of view, it was a very disappointing Christmas. The only new Car I was able to find for my son was Carlo Maserati for $8 plus at CVS (I was able to kill the pain a bit by buying another overpriced toy at 50% off).

For loyal purchasers of the Mattel diecast line, Mattel definitely got the Scrooge award. Well meaning relatives didn't realize the Christmas Cars were duplicates of previous years. Frown

Obviously, there are more important things at Christmas, but jeez Mattel you could be selling tons of Cars if you had some decent product out there!

Merry Christmas all, and Happy Hannukah!  Manifold Jr. is loving his new Cars cars, and the funny thing is, he is most happy about the ones we adults are most tired of seeing on the shelves – Finn, Mater, and McQueen. 🙂 He got a BluRay Finn, which he loves the most, Ghostlight Mater, Spyglass Mater, and his first Cars 2 McQueen, the one from TRU with metallic finish.  It's been about a year since he's had a Mater with a working tow hook, so he is thrilled, and loooves the glow-in-the-dark lamp.  He was very excited about Mater's cousins (thanks again Alicia!), but I admit I was a little sad when he said, "now we can throw away the cardboard ones," in reference to his homemade cousins.  He had a blast with Siddely and Stephenson, and has been watching his new Cars 2 DVD every day since Saturday – reminding me of the glory days of watching Cars a zillion times.  Good times!

Awsome, reminds me of why this became my hobby. Keep the cardboard cousins, they are worth more than any car out there. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

I am glad I was able to save a lot of stuff throughout the year so BobbyJack got some "new" stuff from Santa Claus.  He loves his Siddely the Spy Plane.  He keeps him parked behind his new addition to Radiator Springs; Ramone's House of Body Art just got built next to Flo's V-8 Cafe.  He finally has some new employees for the V-8 cafe also.  Flo w/ tray, Hank Hallasum, and Mia and Tia as waitresses are also now out of the box and part of our collection too.  Thanks for the T5ADers out there who have tripled the size of our gang over the last year.  His birthday is this weekend so more Cars are about to be opened soon.  I will post pictures sometime early next year.

Even though I was disappointed by the very poor quality of it, my son is crazy about his key chargers oil rig. The crane is done well, but the rest, especially the elevator, is pretty bad.
