Thanks for the post and reminder, I ordered this back in Feb. from Matty, I totally forgot about it until now. Checked the Matty website and still shows it will begin shipping Nov. 1st. So I will let the kind folks on T5 know how it holds up to a 5 yr. Old.

Cost on these from Mattel direct after discount is $47.53 JAKE IS BEING REAL FAIR ON HIS PRICE THEY ARE OFFERED TO MORE THEN JUST MATTY AND A FEW PEEPS I KNOW HAVE IN HAND

Well everyone will have a chance to get one a little cheaper, there are 2 listed on Ebay now.
I have already sold 4 of these to other members at my exact cost(which is not 55.00) so if you really want one I will order more. Let me know and I will try to help

I guess the price of $199 online is not holding up, I must say I give props to Jake aka sliceofpie for stepping up and helping t5aday members with this product, I am glad I spoke up about the ridiculous price offered online worth while to take the heat if it helps

Some people will pay whatever the price is, they don't care. If they pay it's because they can. And there are others that will pay just because they want it now and can't wait for later…Don't see a problem there.

We could argue about the term "overpriced" on a few dozen Cars items. The fact is that some folks actually have a business on eBay and use it to support their familes. Some of these same sellers go way above and beyond to help members at very fair prices and take a hit on what they could have sold it for on eBay. Rob is quite possibly the kindest and most fair trader I know. What he does on eBay is his business. If you don't like it, save your cash and buy it on November 1st. Calling people out is kind of whack. Did you notice that it sold for that price? I say kudos. It's not like we all won't have an opportunity to get them for "cost" in upcoming weeks. I just want to know if the darn thing is cool or not. Anyone?

I don't post much and don't get involved in others disputes but I have to give a big shout out to Rob who has helped me and my son many times.
I have traded with Rob on many occassions and found that he is easy to reach out to and has given us many great deals on new and hard to find cars most recently a cars thar that could have sold for 7/8 times what we traded for.
There are many folks on T5 that sell and that's OK, my experience is that if you reach out to these members that they will help you where they can.

I too want to give credit to Rob. I don't care what he lists anything for on Ebay, as that is his business. Nobody is forcing anyone to pay what he is listing them for, so if he can get that kind of money for a new item, more power to him. He is truthful in his listings, and that's what counts. He also doesn't try to hide behind a different name on that site, and is up front about his Ebay business here. I know that can't be said for everyone in this collecting community.
As for him helping out around here, I know that he has personally helped me on more than one occasion for items at cost, when he could have made a great deal more for the same items on Ebay.
In fact, I got a package from him today of my latest purchase from him of 4 L&S characters that I have not been able to find in the store. He sold them to me at cost, and even threw in a FREE Carlo Maserati that he knew I was looking for. Thanks Rob!!!
