If any of you were collecting Cars back in the Desert Art, can you tell me what the License to Win! Points were? They were on the back of nearly every Car and Playset from April 2006 to October 2006. The Radiator Springs Playsets were 100 Points and the normal Cars were 10 Points. Did they unlock you exclusive Prizes, and if so, what were they?
On the official Cars Movie website, you were able to bid on Cars merchandise with these points. I don't think the system every worked too smoothly, and if I recall correctly, the system was down for several months even though it showed items available. The only items I remember from this promotion were some Desert-Back cars signed by John Lasseter. There were many other items available, but I can't remember any of them. Nor was I ever able to win.
Huh, I'm glad I never got started on these. For some reason, I thought it was like Points for an Online Game or something like the codes on the Race O Rama Cards that were used for the World of Cars Online.
