The approaching Kmart cars day will be my family's first. For those of you who have attended in the past I would love to know how it went so I can get an Idea of what to expect. Im assuming each store does their own thing and each even has been different but I still would love to hear some stories. Thanks y'all!

Go 15 minutes early, get a ticket at the customer service desk..
They set up a table in near the toys usually…at 9am they open the boxes and pick numbers…each person is allowed to pull 5 cars, i think…
If you are lucky, you are the only one there and you get what you need and some free swag taboot..
remember, buy 5 get one free!!!

Our store seems to find a different hidden corner each time. Usually no one that works there seems to know about the event, twice we had to go to customer service to remind them to bring out the cases.
On the up side, there's always been more cases than customers so we've never been limited in how many we want. (one of each)
Generally the new Cars are on the pegs for two or three days before the eBayers sweep through and buy up all the interesting ones so it it is worth while going Saturday or Sunday if you can.

I cant wait! We have 3 local kmarts and im going to go to the one thats the least popular (its on a bad side of town and people go to the other ones instead) so maybe ill be the only one and can get one of each LOL!

Make sure the one on the bad side of town is participating in the event. Nothing worse than getting there and they don't have anything. Happened at the 1st Kmart day for me.

I went to that location today and asked and they are doing it YAY! Theirs will not start until 10am though because thats when the manager gets in (im still getting there before 9 just in case) I would have been so disappointed if i would have got there and they were not doing it LOL!

Is there magic word/pass phrase to get the KMart workers to understand what I'm talking about when I ask if there will be a Disney Cars toy event this Saturday?
Called two different stores with same type of response:
1) They haven't let me know anything about it. We've got inventory coming up so I doubt it.
2) Not that I'm aware of. If you come Saturday, they would have a sign at the door and let customers in the store know.

Thats how my kmarts were too but its in this weeks sales paper. I asked the employee at the customer service desk and she knew exactly what was going on.

Most store employees have no idea about it. You have to request to speak to a manager in stores around these parts. They are the only ones that seem to have good intel … and even then it is questionable lol

It depends on the store, but when jestrFamily of 4 has attended, they always give each of us a ticket

According to the rules, anyone that can hold a ticket gets one. I think.
