I recently bought the Disney Store ten pack "Radiator Springs Rescue" with Corporal Josh Coolant (British SAS with red beret — "anything for one of pop's mates").  This particular car is significantly smaller than the other 1:43 Cars, and should fit nicely with the Mattel 1:55 cars.  It's actually just a tad smaller than the Tolga Trunkov in the set, and since you can't get it anywhere else, makes a nice addition to your 1:55 collection.

Just an idea for all to think about.

The Queen's Guard is the same way and the Queen is pretty close as well and looks better than Mattel's in my opinion.

Yes, Sgt. Highgear is a tad oversize, but acceptable in my eyes.  I like the Disney Store version of the Queen far better than the Mattel version, and the same goes for the two sumo wrestlers — the Mattel ones are vastly overscale, and the Disney Store versions are far better detailed in addition to being closer to scale.

Yeah, Coolant is a cool car (as befits his name), god knows why Mattel have ignored him so far, particularly as he wouldn't have to be a new mold. I missed that DS set so made a custom (posted on PCD) from Mike Lorengine.

Oh and pedant alert, he's very clearly a Para (maroon beret, distinctive parachute badge) not SAS (sand beret).

*edit* sorry linking not working here for some reason

Holy cow I flubbed that, good thing my brother doesn't read these — he does WW2 re-enactment as a 'Red Devil' … I stand corrected, Josh is a Paratrooper … and not SAS.
