I purchased a piece of history but the lack of enough packing stuff turned into a lost treasure. I am so MAD about this subject because the only one that is happy is the shipping company ( F*#@ ) !!! OK please think before you ship.

My 1st year Desert Art Movie Moments 2 PAC of Flo and Ramone was just put in a box with nothing else in the box to support or cushion the Blister PAC during shipping . By the time this piece of history made it to Nebraska it was beat to heck, all corners bent and damaged . How mad am I and what a sad loss of a great example of Cars history.

Now this is the part of how both seller and buyer loss and shipping company win win wins! I pay to have it shipped and then I have a damaged item, so then pay to ship back and now I still do not have the item. The seller gets back damaged goods and no sale. Plus collectors lose a piece of Cars history.

I have had rare Hot Wheels still in Blister pack sent with no problems. First it is nice that a plastic protecter is designed to hold the Blister . The nice way I have had them sent is take 2 pieces of cardboard , one about a inch bigger then the card back. Put the now place the other piece of cardboard over the top half of the card making like a sandwich . Now you can wrap the sandwich with bubble wrap and place in a box that is big enough so the sandwich does not touch the sides . Fill the box with packing stuff that will keep it suspended but can be able to take a hit to the box. I know this takes more effort but it will save a lot of headaches. I know their is no sure way, but PLESE remember it is just paper so it can bend or crease very easy!

Please tell me if you have any horror stories and if you have a great way to PAC and ship. I feel their should be a reg or required way to ship these delicate items! Please tell everyone and require the seller to PAC it good. Thanks thebreezz

A piece or two of bubble wrap works just fine for smaller items.   I have shipped thousands of Cars all over the world and have not had a single complaint about something encased in bubble wrap.

Thousands of Cars available for trade or sale.  Always looking for older and harder to find Cars.  Email me at slicepie@roadrunner.com

I'm sorry you had a bad experience but I have purchased several items from fellow t5ad members and never had a problem with damaged goods, most of them just wrapped in a piece of bubble wrap and it worked perfectly. 🙂

I suppose it really depends on where you are buy from.  If I was to ever purchase something from someone I wasn't familiar with I would insure that in the communication I knew condition of the card prior to ship and let them know that I was a collector that wasn't planning on opening.  A little communication goes a long way, especially when trading here, that's what I like most about Take 5 the trading has been just great.

Hi members, I would like to say that all my interaction with T5 has been top notch, and I would say the love for these great cars helps. I have had bad packers like the story I told, but most of the damage has been from shipping. I will still say that some bubble wrap is not enough to protect the paper card back if the box takes a good hit. I purchased over 10 thousand dollar of Cars and Hot Wheels all still on Blister Card and out of 462 Blister packs purchased I had 23 damaged and of those 14 could have been from shipping. Now that leaves me with 9 items that now are lost forever. So you may feel that is low, but 5 of those could have been avoided. The 4 that the sellers thought they had packed them good are just wrong!!! You may not have herd from those buyers or maybe they have lower standards, but the bubble wrap will not protect that Card back. I have had the bubble wrap put on to tight and the seller bent the card. If that item moves enough in the box that card back will bend and get damaged. The best thing to do is go the extra mile and do the best you can.

I have always told the seller I am not going to open and I have been told all kinds of misclaimers or don't be so picky. So please just do the right thing! Take pride and be responsible ! Now I know people have some horror stories. Thebreezz
