It is cool that T5 now hosts forums, but one positive of the old message board format is the shopping report page. I find it easier (especially when mobile) to view all of the shopping reports in one place. With the new system one could conceivably have to go forward and back between 4 or more topics just to see what is new at TRU, TGT, WM, and KM. On a mobile this takes a bit longer and eats up valuable ones and zeros if you are on a metered data plan.
Just my $.02
Maybe the same with trades if each trader starts a new thread every time they list their trades.

Well in theory the shopping report is just split between online and in stores …

I'm still trying to get used to this format. It takes a lot longer to read the new comments. Maybe you should change the name to Take20aDay 😀

Now that I've figured out how to navigate this new format, I like it 😛

Please help this dummy! I'm kind of confused as to how to use these forums. What is the easiest way to see new posts? I tried clicking on the "Show new topics since your last visit", but it gives me the same comprehensive list of topics every time, instead of showing just the ones I haven't seen yet. Or do I have to click on each of the main like sub-forums to see if there is a discussion I haven't seen yet? Messy navigation is one reason why I don't visit that other site, but yes, I am going to stay positive about this. It' s a good change right? H ee e l p? Sincerely, Dummy Manifold

Hey Mike,
The easiest way for me to figure out what is going on is to open each Main Topic and then look on the right side to see what has been replied to recently. If you click on the actual Date & Time of that post it will take you straight to that page.
Hope that helps.

Mike,
This is what I figured out…You need to quit your browser. Then re-launch it. After going to Take5 Forums page, click on "Show new topics since last visit". Only the topics with new posts will appear. Then click on each topic and scroll down to see last/new posts.

I like the new forums. 12 hour shifts at work give me some time to surf the net. Can't spend as much time on the computer at home though. The PMs are also cool because I don't have very good service on my phone here at work. I just hope they don't block this site here!

The MCP they got running this place doesn't like us going to very many cool sites. 😡

Dude, I can hardly check emails from my phone, much less surf the internet. The screen is too little and my fingers are too big!

haha, it helps that I have better than 20/20 vision plus I can change the screen size on my phone depending on which site I'm on. In fact, I just posted this entire comment from my phone! 🙂
