Heres a hi- res image of pinion.
Zooming in really closely i began to really notice how much detail was put in to how the eyelids actually move. notice on the far left of the windsheild how theres enough space for bug(vroomonous bugs of course)to fit through.
notice how in the middle the eyelids even bend a little.
Check out the tires. not on the die-casts but in the movie words on the tires saying " TOK-EO "
and the fact that in their character description there color is mentioned as "gold" which they don't look gold but more tan, but up close you can indeed see sparkles, but mattels are just tan.
even though you only see them for a brief moment see how their malwashi things actually look like they were stitched together. and all the tiny bumps and scratches on his front bumper. one last thing i noticed is their "hair" is different from each other. one being in "a pony tale"
theirs also alot of details like this on the kabuki dancers.
Here i found a tad bit info http://a113animation.blogspot……f-art.html on an abandoned spy character that was probably replaced by finn. who (finn) was originally going to be in cars 1 at the drive in, but was probably cut for the pixar movies in cars form.
