Have any of our FL members seen or heard if the Cars Land merchandise will be avaialble at DisneyWorld. I know that some readers check out Downtown Disney from time to time it would be great to know before buying the tractors from Ebay.
Also I noticed that the Test Track at Epcot has closed for refurbishment, as the Cars racers ride appears to be the same concept it crossed my mind that perhaps they would turn it into the same ride even though Epcot would be a strange place to have it. Has anyone in FL or in the know heard anything.

I am not in FL nor do I know this for sure but it would make no sense to have the Cars Land merchandise in FL when Cars Land is only in CA. It wouldn't be as exclusive if they had it in FL and CA. Pirate Mater, Goofy Mater, and Micky McQueen were in both because they weren't associated with a specific ride in either park, if I'm not mistaken.

I called the Disney online ordering folks that we got Goofy Mater, Mouse Ears Lightning, etc. from last year. They said to give Cars Land a week to ten days open and that they should then have the tractors and Cars ride die-casts available for mail order by telephone.
I'm also going to check the Downtown Disney store in Anaheim in a few days. I read an online report from a "Cast Member" who got into Cars Land for a preview the Monday before opening that the gift shops had the tractors but not the Cars ride cars yet. (so they might have been delayed past opening day?)

Went by the World of Disney store outside of California Adventure yesterday. They have no Cars Land souvenirs at all and don't expect to carry them. They did have a two pack of Goofy Mater and mouse ears McQueen for about $22. Also a large assortment of Cars 2 die cast singles, doubles and Deluxe at retail plus about 20%.

Thanks for checking and posting. I figured that certain items may show up at Disneyworld but if they are not selling them outside the park then perhaps not. Pity as I wanted a Piston cup and some tractors for the little guy. Maybe later on. Thanks again.
