I am looking forward to these sets!  I called the 1-800 number and the representative confirmed they are a Carsland exclusive and are not going to be made available down here in FLA.  Rather than missing out, I went ahead and ordered them by phone.  Cannot wait to see these in person!Laugh

Quick correction, radiator springs beginnings is $44.95, not 34.95, that confusion has spread to other sites. It was a typo, check the math above 🙂

Do they charge taxes on it or it's just $93.90 for both sets including shipping?

Hard to say for sure since they just kind of tell you a total and don't break it down, but I am pretty sure that they do not charge taxes. I will be ordering a set for someone in France tomorrow, I will ask and try to update you.

Just confirmed, no taxes outside of California. The shipping seems to be going up though. I ordered 1 set today for someone in France and the shipping to me was $25. They have tiered shipping, based upon purchase price and it doesn't change based upon where you live in the US. Anyone else find funny numbers? Also found out that the limit is 12 of each per person total and they keep track (unless you have more than one name). I have 6 sets to go! anyone overseas need a set?

corinne -

I just called the # above and they insist that the shipping for 1 set is $25. not $14. She said $14. shipping is for an order of under $75. You might want to call them back and double check to make sure you are getting one of each and not two of the $34.95 sets.

Thanks Micky,

She did tell me they would be $25.00 for shipping(2-sets) and I said to her no way.  I told her I would  then make to seperate orders which would bring each box set to be $7.00  for shipping so she I guess did not want to make more work for herself so she charged me $14.00 . Thankyou for telling me though.I just checked my credit card it was right.

Laugh I just called them again to double check my order and they told me they have a certain amount in the warehouse so they just keep taking orders without knowing if they can fullfill them. They told me if they could not fill my order they would call me  (no earlier than friday)to cancel the order. They said the could not tell if it was still in stock  and they  were not allowed to tell me how many were in the warehouse. They said it is a first come first serve basis for these sets so hopefully I would  get them . I really hope to get these for my son.

I would not pay $25.00 for shipping so if you guys have to split the

order  up than I would. I think under $50.00 is only $7.00 to ship or something close to that number.

It seems that things are relative to the person you speak to at the 1-800 number.  I sure hope everyone, including myself, can get what they ordered.

John, I am super jealous!  Look forward to your review! Cool

I think everyone will be eventually be able to get them, they're just crazy expensive per car.

I sent Met a few Gigs of detail photos so hopefully he'll post some in the next day or two.

To me it looks like Stanley is a fairly light color with dark hat in the sepia portions of Time Travel Mater. Would be nice if Mattel came out with a color Stanley to pair up with Lizzie for display. Real Stanley Model 60s and 70s seem to be mostly dark red/maroon or dark green, but there are some light colored ones also, so only Pixar would know for sure.

The bottom of the boxes makes no secret that these are Mattel products, has their contact and warranty info and Mattel red star logo.

Can't wait to see these in person.

I ordered a third set yesterday for a friend, but that order is going on a "wish list".  However they quoted me 14.00 shipping.

My first order last Thursday I was told is good and will go through.

Placed a "wish list" order on Monday morning for 2 of each set and was told $40 to ship.  Hope we can actually get them, but prices and shipping are ridiculous.  Would be easier to stomach if Mattel was giving us what we wanted at retail and not 1 new car in Target 4 packs or 7 packs.

As of today, Disney is no longer selling these over the phone and you have to visit the parks.  This is what they Manager told me on the phone.

Apparently, people were placing very large orders of them and they were not able to stock the stores at the park.

bummer

They should of put a limit first…and yes, it's not fair to pay the entrance ticket and don't been able to find them there!
