Gidday all: I have seen the pixar cars (lightning mcqueen etc) in the perspex case and was wanting to know if they are worth getting or are they just another release to collect. I have no idea what they are like except what ive seen in pictures..any help appreciated.
My guess is that you are talking about the Disney Store cars, which are a completely different line than the Mattel ones. They are also in a bigger scale. Whether you collect them or not is up to you- most of the folks I know don't.
They look good for display, aside from some occasional odd sculpting of the eyes (see especially the Mater releases), but are known to break apart much easier than the Mattel diecast line.
Gidday Fillmore..a perspex case ย is just a plastic display case that some models can be displayed in. I just no it as perspex must be a kiwi thing huh ๐
Assuming you areand talking about the Disney Store Cars, as Mike and Sodabear said, they are slightly larger scale, cost more new (@ least in the US), tend to be more delicate, which shouldn't be an issue if you are an adult collector. Also, there are not near as many characters available.
