Just over the last day or two I found a box of cars1 Mega sized that I hadn't noted down, mostly they are the usual Marco jet and the lightyear blimp, however I did come accross a frank MOCx2 and a Bessie! I did find 3xBessies back in 2010 and have traded a loose bessie so now have 2 MOC, however the one I just rediscovered seems to be tar spot free, I do have one other MOC that has the same dirty tar marks as my loose Bessie that I traded, but one is what I can only call clean! No tar on the bodywork. Is this a known Bessie? So to speak!! It may be common but the other two I had were covered in dirt or tar. Thanks for any info.

Yes its known about. But uncommon to rare. Prototypes of clean Bessie were made and if you check or search this blog using the search box you can see pictures of clean Bessie.

Nice find, and would like to see you post a picture.

Clean Bessie is rare. It was a backdoor sold on eBay; is that where you got yours from? I'd guess there are less than a dozen floating around. I own two.

I didn't get this Bessie from Ebay, it is on the card and when I found it at TRUs a couple of yrs ago I put it away not realising how rare Bessie was going to be. I can only presume that the tar-spots were put on last after painting etc and this one avoided the process somehow! I wonder how many of these escaped the factory tar free? Anyhow its one I will not be trading as loose versions are around 4-500 on Ebay……..I will post pics as I have a Apple car that most members on here would be able to confirm its authenticity for me as I bought it off ebay as the real thing and have my doubts, ok so to post pics you send a link to your flikr page? Thanks everyone.
