"Is this not the reason eBay is out of control at times?"
I suppose the more Cars that end up on eBay the lower the sales prices will be and the less incentive there'll be for them to eBay them in the first place?

I wouldn't say fleabay is out of control at all times.
Sometimes it is ridiculous, but usually only for the NEW new stuff or really old "HTF" stuff that isn't going to be found in stores anyway.
I mean you can buy Case G Cars on the flea for like $5 all day. That is a little higher than retail but it is actually not when you figure in cost of your time and vehicle use.
Also a lot of fleabayers out there who have high prices are Mattel vendors who are buying the cases directly from Mattel.
Lastly I know there are lurkers out there who read these posts and shop the same stores I do, it is a fun little competition to see who beats who to a score.

This has been both thought provoking and insightful. It appears there is no right or wrong in this case as one could argue they are helping other collectors wether locally or on T5. Unless your only doing for jacked up eBay prices then your bad, bad, bad, bad, bad (in my Russell Peters impersonation)
I guess I was a little salty after I picked up a don crumlin for trade then watching a guy take the remaining 4 only to say sorry to a kid after he started whining they were all gone. I ended up giving mine to the kid. Call it carsma or a blessing but I was rewarded earlier this week with a extra Don, Becky & Murakarmi at the TRU sale price. Either way the hunt and gratification of find g new items on the shelf make it fun. To all my fellow collectors that pick up alot of the same do us all an extra favor and pick up 4, 6, aww hell 8 LMQ's, Finns or Francesco's!
Happy Hunting

That is darn bad behavior of some adult to snag the last 4 of Crumlin and make a kid cry. The way I look at it, you gotta feel bad for everyone in that situation, the kid for getting disappointed and the adult for being maladjusted enough to think it's OK to treat kids like that.
Good on you for giving up your trade bait for the kid! I bet that made an impression on him!

No regular good tax paying, law abiding citizens trying to make a few dollars selling are not bad. Nor as Met has stated in the past should there be judging of others for any legal activity.
The reason why this subject stirs me up is because the regular people point fingers at one another while the real robbery and injustices that are done by the super wealthy go un talked about.
Hey I would like to take my son to a ball game for a decent price but the rich owners would rather great seats go unused than offering us a deal.
I would like to buy my son a video game that costs about a dollar to press for less than 60.00 but the corporations are just the hell with you pay us.
How about our taxes being robbed and the wealthy banks being allowed to steal our children's future by some so called bail out. The tax payers have to bail out the same people who own the Federal reserve bank? Are you kidding me?
That's what gets me. People entertain themselves, play and argue over ridiculous things like who is buying and selling some toy cars. Or some other meaningless to our life nonsense like which ball player is better.
Yet the truly important things that profoundly affect our and our children's every day lives go totally unnoticed.
For Pete's sake people are eating off plates of golds with dozens of servants etc. while others are starved to death.
Who buys how many cars is about as important worrying about a drop of rain but ignoring a coming hurricane.
Lastly in a honest system regular people wouldn't have to be trying to make a few bucks but unfortunately the middle class has been being systemically destroyed and taxed into oblivion.
If you think it's bad now just wait until the upcoming austerity measures are put into place. Then you will see desperation for any way to make a buck like you have never seen before but don't blame the people for trying to survive. Blame the people up top that are steering the ship.

That reminds me of Outlawbak's story of K-Day 8 where a man and his wife took 3 Cases of the Cars and not give a single one to a crying little boy. People can be so cruel!

Hey Ghostlight Charlie, if you are desperate enough, and I have what you need, I'd be happy to ship some Cars to you for actual cost of Cars plus actual cost of shipping.
