Sorry if I'm not supposed to add links but I thought this was completely bizarre. This Desert Art one 'L' Fillmore is going on e-Bay for $1,264.45. The good news is there's $25.00 shipping to add onto it. Excuse me while I go check out all my Desert Art Cars to see if I have one.

I wonder what he means by "You will need this card back to complete the full set of all the Fillmore/Filmore/Filmores " There were only 2 different ones that iv'e known about.

Not exactly "going for" $1,265.45 — that's just what the lunatic seller is asking for it. Now if it were an auction-style listing with multiple bids, THAT would be a story,

He is right. There are 5 versions of Filmore.
Fil/Fil April 1
Fil/Fil April 29
Fill/Fil April 29
Fil/Fill April 29
Fill/Fill April 29.
The one L Filmore on back April 29 are rare. I know. I have all 5, and it took years to get the 2 rarest ones.
Yes, he is crazy and readily admits it. But he knows Cars.

You'd think he could afford to at least include a photo of the cardback.

Yes good point, but he is probably aware of people taking his pictures and using them. He did have the cardbacks pictured on his website.
I have pictures on my CTT12 collection thread of all 5 front and back.
Gotta give thanks to a great guy who got the last one for me, when I had just about given up trying to finish the set.

So BMW which one is the rarest? Fil/fil April 1. So it would be misspelled on frnt and back. I'll check your post on CTT.

No that is the most common one its worth about 10 to 20 dollars. April 1 versions are all the same.
The April 29th versions with L in Filmore on back are the rarest versions.
there are two of these.
Fillmore correct spelling on the nameplate on front
Filmore incorrect spelling on the nameplate on front.
both have one L in Filmore on the back. You see Mattel started to correct the errors, and came out with the correct 2L versions very quickly afterwards when they caught the mistake. So most April 29 ones are correct.
Here is a recent sale for 578.00
