Our local Kmart's have finally been receiving new cases as of the 22nd. (Cases were not sitting in the back room with "hold until" stickers as with the May 15, 2011 roll out; shipments seem to be in the store's next regular delivery after the 22nd.)
It is the case the East coast received a couple of months ago, a nice mix of already released Cars on straight sided cards plus chase Radiator Springs Ramone.
No sign of new Deluxe, two packs, etc.

Well, that's one more new car than Portland has seen in the last 10 months, so I guess you could consider yourself lucky, in a super depressing C2-era kinda way.

Swing and a miss here, I hit at least half a dozen stores Wednesday with disappointing results. The only thing I got was a Hot Wheels A-Team van…

The "THUD" is becoming louder……I think.
I was able to browse through my local super Target today and ended up speaking with the toy department manager…………Anyone getting excited yet?
I inquired a conversation regarding the toy reset that is scheduled for the CARS product line due in or around May 12th. She informed me that they will be conducting their reset on Sunday the 6th. I asked if they had a plannogram with any listed merchandise for the reset, sadly she had not received it yet. Heres the great part, she used some really good keys words throughout our conversation that stuck with me like:
" Our shelf section is increasing some" and " the older product will remain on the shelf consoildated and the NEW PRODUCT WILL RECEIVE ITS OWN PEG SPACE"
I asked if any of the new product is in the store yet, she checked…..said no……then her magicial hand held machine said it will be delivered tonight. So yes I asked, I had to "Can I stop by tomorrow morning and see what product is coming in"?
After a few intense moments of thought, she said yes!!!
So I prefaced this topic with a "I THINK", so I will let everyone know what tomorrow brings.
Also on that note an EBAYER in Mexico has the new deluxes cars, so maybe they are close to hitting the US.

Wow, sounds promising, thanks for the news Brent!
Let's just hope it's not more Action Agents or something like that! (Does anyone know if those are from Mattel too? Or is it a different company?)

Ive collected the action agents cars and yes they are Mattel. I love them, however they did not make a good substitute for new diecast.
I don't think I can sleep tonight, especially after seeing another EBAYER tonight with 4 new cars in auction. China seller- mydogcall zero????
Could it be that Mattel would release more than 5-6 news cars In a month?

In theory Mattel had planned 100 new cars for 2012. 52 weeks in a year could have meant approximately two new cars every week all year long. Since months have gone by with no releases at all, we could be looking at a Tsunami of cars if Mattel still plan that many releases this year. We've seen something like 40+ new cars in sneak photos, eBay, etc….

i can only hope this rings true, any updates? my target rain checks for 10 cars 2 cars at 99 cents expires on the 19th, i dont wanna have to buy 10 old cars again 🙁

Same here. I even went to my Target to snoop around and punch the singles DCPI into the scanner, but nothing.
I also went to Kmart and found a bunch of items on sale, stuff like "Action Agents" and "Make a Face", or whatever they're called.

Morning, I did stop back over to the store and the product was there……just not off the truck yet. I thought that's what they did overnight???
So I will stop back in today and report back when I actually see something.
I asked again for the planogram and this time the computer system was down, but apparently they have one…..stay tuned.
