This is my first post as a dad of a Cars obsessed 3 year old. I came across this site a few weeks ago as my search has started for a Rip Cluthgoneski that my son wants. He is so obsessed he YouTubes other collectors to compare his collection.
I understand the values and rarities as I collected sports cards as a kid. The issue is I don't want to spend eBay prices as he is just opening them to play so its pointless to spend the $ that some of these are going for.
I have lead a manhunt for Rip from friends and family. I live in western NY so our markets are late to new arrivals. All stores are full of lightning and Finns.
That being said my brother lives in Tampa and a Walmart associate let him open 3 new cases of 2013 Case A. Two days before the racks were empty. So they are slowly coming in the Tampa area.

I ended up with Vladimir Trunkov, J Curby Grem, Uncle Topolino, Dusty Rust-Eze, Race Tow Truck Tom, Sally, Suki today. Nothing was on the shelves but Francesco then I remembered someone posting about them being in red bins and SCORE!
After having the manager come over I was able to get them price matched from $3.88 to $1.99. No Rip but hey got a good start.

Thanks for the tips, Jack. Thanks to you too, Steve, for letting me know these were in Maryland. I was able to pick up everything I needed from Case A!

Your welcome. Always glad to help. It was a friend out west who was the first one I know if that alerted me that Walmarts were getting case A dump bins.
Here is another tip. Most stores that have gotten the case A shipper have gotten the case B's on pallets right after. Many the next day. This pallet drop also has the case A 2 packs, case R deluxe and case C Take flights if that's your thing.
I scored some nice case B's tonight. Major scores 2 nights in a row. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas indeed.

Found the new 2 packs last night. No sign of case A or B yet but all the dump bins aren't out yet either, soon I hope though I need to be home in bed at 12:00 for work not out diggin through pallets like some crazy guy. Did see the same woman two nights in a row though right there with me looking for ninja turtles and wrestlers so I don't feel as bad. Also found another case R deluxe… Took home another queen too.

Went back got my price adjustment and then used the money i got back to buy these! There was still lots there too! Walmart customer service was great when i brought the receipt back for the adjustment, but some manager was a b!tch about matching the price at the register for these…She still did though! If anyone wants to wager up a trade for any of these let me know they are all extras except the McQueen gonna keep that for my son, have some other stuff too. I need:
- Rip
- Fabrizio
- Queen
- Geargrinder
- Nitroade
- Alex Vandell
- Otis
- Sir Harley
- Any Old Tuners or Race Cars
My local Walmart must have just opened a case too, was just in there…it was pretty picked through only thing i grabbed were a guido and luigi.

I found a bunch of different dump boxes in a few Walmarts today. All Case A, no B. Thought this one was interesting though.
The Walmart employee who filled these mixed all the Hot Wheels and Disney Cars together.
This made it really hard to dig through them to find the Disney Cars.
If I had actually needed these I might have tried to get them for 97 cents but it has been a long day and didn't feel like debating this with the store manager.

As soon as I walked in the door ( non grocery side) in my super
Walmart they have a section of toys…. On your way to the regular toy section, that's where I found mine last night…..Finally!!!

Not all the Walmarts have them set up yet either. Some have placed them near the front door. Some have placed them in the area in front of the checkstands before you get to the general merchandise. Some have placed them in the center of the wide aisles in the middle of the store. Some have placed them back in the Toy department. If you don't see them when you first walk in, you have to start looking. Most of them have the Disney Cars right next to the Monster Jam trucks. Kind of like going on a Treasure Hunt in your Walmart. Good luck!

Cant be too far off Bubba…Case B's keep popping up all around me, just keep missing the good stuff!!
Went to Walmart last night, got a couple things nothing to get too excited about, but at checkout I just showed them a picture on my phone of the Target sale price on the rack I had taken and the cashier matched it with out any hesitation!
