Wow, I would have had problems with restraint if faced with that display. I see so many things I want/need on there, like the Tex/Mrs King 2-pack right up front! And an extra Fillmore in the back left corner.
aftp302- My local TRU had a bunch of the Tex/Mrs. King 2-packs as of yesterday. If I'm nearby, I'll see if I can pick one up for you if you're interested.

My TRU had/has the cube. Top shelf just has a few McQueens, Sarges, and Finns, now. I helped to empty it, but didn't embarrass myself too badly. Seems odd business practice to introduce new stock at $1. Maybe it's about space for Planes.

I would assume TRU's $1 clearance was meant to clear out all the Porta Corsa garbage. Any stores that didn't wait until after June 1 to put out the cube cost themselves and corporate a LOT of profit. If TRU tracks actual UPC's, it would be fun to be a fly on the wall at corporate when these stores submit for reimbursement after the clearance.

Exactly what I was thinking! Point of the sale was to clear old stock..not to sell the new stuff for $1. Some stores must not have gotten the memo? LOL
I have checked the 2 TRU's in my area several times and no sign of a cube!

Still no sign of the cube at my local TRU, but they did a restock since Monday and I scored a bunch of RSC (Dexter Hoover, Fab Hudson Hornet, Tex Dinoco, N20 Cola, Shiny Wax, Octane Gain, Sheriff, etc). A bunch more of the 2-packs that I don't need (Caroule/?, Cutlas/Cartrip, Nigel/?).
Does anyone know if that cube comes pre-packed with cars and/or if it may have come and gone from my store or is my store lagging behind?

revisited the score yesterday..cube gone and pegs were full…
what are you seeing for 2013 singles? maybe stocking pegs from cube out back?

Cube arrived in SE Pennsylvania…Wasn't there but the wife says nothing new. She was able to grab some Microdrifters. Still searching for Nick Stickers, Marilyn and the elusive Octane Gain.

Went to visit the sister in law today and on the way stopped at a TRU I had been in only one time before and found 2 Captain Muniers. Random find but was a pretty epic one for me 🙂

Another restock at my TRU this morning (Newark DE). More 2013 singles and another case of Deluxe (Red, Dustin Mellows, Dinoco Helicopter…). I scored a Deluxe Kabuki Mater, left the rest there. They are going to have to clear a large amount of peg room for the Planes that are already piling up.
