I just called the nearest TRU and since it wasn't in the ad, she said their store wasn't selling them for a dollar since they have an abundance of them.
Psst… that's why you have a clearance!
So, do I make the 65-mile roundtrip anyway?

They were not selling them for a $1 since they had a lot? What sense does that make? If anything that should be all the more reason to sell them to you for $1!!!!

I tried to sneak some of the new RSC's thru the $1 but the cashier was too sharp and dialed up the manager. Oh well, found Hudson Hornet & Shiny today. The good news: Hopefully TRU is clearing out the old crap for some new cars on the pegs…I also imagine they are making room for PLANES.

Yes I got check lane cars too along with the cars 2 cards for only $1.00. These are the 2013 short card. 1 tru had nothing and another tru had about 14. My son found a secret stash up by the registers . They will be on sale for $1.00 until June 1st. I bought 2 mater w/bombs,1 king,1 jeff corvet, 1 McQueen, 1 Francesco, 1 pistin cup mcqueen and 1 reg mater. Not to bad !!

I did not have a problem… they all scanned at $1.00 because I check them before I went to the cashier.

Found this yesterday at TRU…
 
Sad thing is it is only Case D and F singles. No G Cars. Case A 2 packs also. Still good Cars for only a $1 until June 1.

The card back I found were the short card . These pictures look like the long cards. I would be in heaven to see all those cars for $1.00 each. I have to check 2 other TRU stores today. SSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOO LUCKY !!!!!!

Mine had a couple of freshly stocked Kabuto/Crumlin cases as well as the 2013 themed checklanes. Basically pulled one from the full assortment and a few extra Kabutos and Miguels. Had hoped that the deluxe Francescos that have been sitting around there would scan at a buck, as well. But alas, no.

Wow, I would have had problems with restraint if faced with that display. I see so many things I want/need on there, like the Tex/Mrs King 2-pack right up front! And an extra Fillmore in the back left corner.
