I've also noticed that many of the pegs are pretty empty too (not in the clearance sections). I see a few LMQ's dangling there and then in the mega-deluxe size, I see only Fin McMissile as a water-craft.
My question is posed to those of you who have gone through this Car-season before, in the years past. Are they trying to dump their stock to make less room for CARS products in general or are they gearing up for another wave of new die-cast releases from Mattel?

my targets are expanding their cars sections slightly…and they are defintely more organized…they probably are waiting for the sales to end before placing new product in the reset…the only new items I have seen lately are the quick changers…and those cars with the air pumps

One lady had a full cart and was working on a second one. Anyway, I picked up an Air Hog RC McQueen, the large one not the little guy. It was $49.99 in Walmart and $64.99 in TRU. I got it for $14.98 marked down from $49.99. It might pay to run by Target or at least give them a call to see if your local Targets are doing the same.
Today we bought the Cars video game (with the plastic steering wheel), ignorable at $50, for $13.

At least you found McQueen and Francesco puzzles. Still eluding me. Mater and Raoul will not be freed from their puzzles until I find the last two.

I've found them several times, and not once has the car been nestled snug in the box. You would never know there was a car at all if you didn't shake the box to see it thru the little plastic window.

I got tired of trying to find a McQueen Puzzle 3/4 where McQueen was not at the bottom of the box. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before but it's not too hard to correct it. With a hair dryer carefully loosen the round piece of tape on the side of the box (don't remove it). Open box and dump out puzzle. Remove old (no good) glue. I used double stick tape to fasten it on top (inside box) and regular tape to fasten the other parts inside the box. Put everything back together and gently re-stick the round tape back in place.

I accepted the poor packaging and decided to open all of them…glad I did…they are nice. looks good correctly packaged though!

I haven't been lucky enough to find the McQueen, but I also had to repair the car placement on the others. I followed mickys steps but on the interior I used my hot glue gun. It's now permently trapped!

Finally after months of waiting for them to start showing up and then weeks of searching for them after they did start showing up, I found the third and fourth collect and connect puzzles! Time to add an entry to our collection thread.

They had one of each of the 3rd and 4th set left after we got ours, but that was on Friday. The newer Target north of Winchester off I-81. They were full retail price unfortunately.

My Target got new singles in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!! Wooo Hoooo!!!!! Unfortunately, it was the Lewis/Carlo case … old news … I was really wishing for NEW NEW, but at least it was nice to see that SOMEONE noticed the pegs were empty! LOL

I scrounged and found 2 L&S Ramones. There was a 3rd on the shelf, but the batteries were dead. Still haven't seen the 3rd & 4th puzzles in my hood.

Right on! Nice to hear of something positive. I wonder if the few Chase RS Ramones on the bay were found in the wild or came direct to the sellers somehow?
