Target finally reloaded in CT as well. They had the Cora Copper wave. Also had one random Lee Race that I was able to snag with a bonus UPC on the back that took off $1.33. Never seen that before and didn't see it on any of the other Cars.

All 3 Targets that I hit in south jersey have Neon Racers again. Considered picking some up but unless my son has seen a movie or cartoon as backstory he probably wouldn't be interested. Maybe if they had the story books again….

I don't often go looking in stores for Cars, but I had to go get a bar-stool and figured I'd look while I was there. It does highlight why I don't purposely go looking for Cars in stores though — there's never really anything in a store.

Picked up a Geartrude this morning in San Diego. Got lucky as it looked like part of remnants from the day before. Still no signs of new deluxe anywhere though.

Bought the full set of Neon racers yesterday at Target (4 pack + Lewis, Nigel, & Max singles).
I've seen plenty of bad paint apps on Cars, but many of the Neon racers were horrible. There was extra neon paint was in spots where it shouldn't be with crooked apps and chips all over some of them. Mattel must not have anyone overseeing the quality on these.
It took quite some time to compare them to find the least worst of the bunch. Luckily, the one Lewis had good paint, and I settled for a Nigel that just had a slightly crooked WorldGrandPrix app on the tail fin. McQueen looked to be the worst of the singles with the Neon paint being far off the mark and plenty of red between the wheel well and the neon paint. The 4 packs were not immune to this problem so I focused on getting a good Shu and found one set that was decent.
