Went to Target tonight to find a complete restock.
Full restock of FINN's. So guess I won't need to go there for a while.

My Target won't reorder singles until the 60 Finns on the pegs are gone. Haven't gotten new singles in over a year.

I was told by an avid toy collector that Target's clearnace pricing works like this:
First round clearance…price ends in 8
Second round…price ends in 5
Third and final round…price ends in 4
Seem possible?
Not necessarily, although I guess it depends on the starting price. Target uses 4 or 5 clearance percentages depending on how long stuff has been on clearance and which department it is. Electronics and Legos can start the clearance process at 15 percent off. Next is what we typically see in other areas of toys, 30 and 50 percent off. If stuff seems to linger, they can go to 70 percent off. The final reduction used to be either 85 or 90 percent, but I haven't seen anything go below 70 percent in a long time…

By the by, our Targets have stopped stocking sinles totally (at least for now). I even saw some stores without locations for singles, or with only one or two pegs for them. Old arsed two packs of zen pitty seem to be in grand supply, and they won't even clearance those to move them. I only check now to try and find a new 7 pack when they hit… Cars hunting is not like it used to be. Thank goodness for resellers. I save more in gas than ever!

With the success of the $2 sale, and the fact that nearly every car from Case A and Case B sold out at Target you would think they would be scrambling to get new cases in! Just doesn't make sense!!

Stores around me have bare shelves.
I think they do this intentionally as there is little demand for toys this time of year so it is probably good to get stock on hand as low as possible so they can do inventory.
The less stock (assets), the less tax they are liable for.

Went to my local target today and the London rescue box set was still on clearance for $24.98, I asked the toy department employee when they would be marking down clearance again and she said that she and another employee would be doing that Monday. I don't know what they will drop the price too but since they had 12 sets left I figured I will wait until Monday to see. Anyhow just wanted to let everyone know.

Here is what I know to be fact. I have two toys now that were marked down multiple times. The first is the racing 9 pack from last year. First markdown was 14.98 which was 50 percent off of the 29.99 sticker price. The second markdown was to 7.48 which was 75 percent off. Now, I haven't seen Target do 75 percent in a year or two. They now utilize a 70 percent off number instead. The other toy I have is the lights and sounds 4 pack. This started at 34.99 and was reduced to 24.48 (30 percent). The next sticker is 17.48 (50 percent), and the final price is 10.48 (70 percent). Interestingly enough, I just noticed that in the top right corner of the stickers in very small font is the percent of reduction. So, 14.98 will be the 70 percent off price if they make it there. I am happy to put any single up as a friendly bet against your reliable source… :). The only caviat would be if your Target is one of those that marks everything up 10 percent or so above the metro Target retail price. Some of the outliers like to use a higher initail shelf price, probably because it costs more for Target to operate in those areas. You may have seen the Targets that have singles at 3.84 instead of 3.49. In that case, it is possile that the clearance prices would be based on those higher prices, and could result in a clearance price with a 5. If your initial shelf price is 49.99, I am convinced that the next clearance reduced price will be 14.98.
Oh, and nothing new at my Targets since that is what this thread is about… Lol

Anyone ventured out yet to see if there was a price drop today for the 12-pack?

I did and it is still $24.98 I asked a sales associate why the price was not dropped yet and she said that they would start clearance price drops tomorrow then I asked her why an associate told me over the weekend that they would be doing it today and she looked at me like I was stupid! It's like everyone is on a different page there and it's very annoying! 🙁 I will call tomorrow before I go!
