You know I've only found Cartney at a big retailer just once but I've found her at several smaller places, typically Academy Sports & Outdoors here in the Dallas area.  Here is the picture I took when I found her last about a month ago, I meant to post it because I actually laughed out loud when I saw her up on the top shelf off of the peg next to a Hot Wheels track.

Cartney could only hide so long. Found FINALLY at a Walgreens pharmacy store.

Just got home from Disneyland! Had a blast and LOVED Carsland 🙂 I will have to post some pics later.

Anyways, if you are headed to Disneyland and need Kabuto, you are in luck. I saw dozens of him there. But he is about twice the price as a regular store Confused

Also saw a few Queens, Funny Car Maters, Refs… some Mels and plenty of the usual guys. I didn't buy any of the cars, but I did pick up a cool Cars Checkered Flag for my son's room 🙂

Cool

that place is the best. Our passes just expired. We are heading to Japan . I will miss it. Ya they always have tons of things there. I love it ……

Can't wait to see pictures

Stopped at a Walgreens today for the heck of it.  No Cartney, but decent restroom. Thanks, Walgreens. Cool

I never would have thought of Academy, EVER. But after you mentioned it I went by one tonight and guess what, found a Cartney and a Miles Axelrod (which I needed). Thanks Lane Change!

And that's what I like about this site the most being able to share where I find things so others can look there as well.

I've found 4 Cartney's at Academy and just 1 at a Walmart… might have to make a few Academy stops today.

I only found 1 Cartney and it wouldn't even scan, it was at the Academy on 290 & 1960. Good luck. You might want to try some Walgreens as that's where I found the other one. Or I have 2 now if you want to trade.

Thanks for replying on which Academy had Cartney, appreciate the information. I called my nearest Academy and they have one on hold for me.

I live in the western Houston suburbs.

I found Cartney in early November at one Academy, so its nice to know that Academy is still getting in case Q.

Thanks for the help.

You're welcome @BMW, if there are other Cars you're looking for let me know. Are there any really good places in Houston for finding new Cars? I'm in the NW Houston area.

Hi again,

As for stores, just the usual major retailers, and occasionally

big lots (nothing recent) auto parts stores carry some diecasts, Pep Boys, Advance Auto. Burlington Coat Factory, very sporadic, but sometimes I have found some really unusual finds there.

Also check HEB grocery and Krogers.  Not all HEB have toy depts.

Kroger gets some deluxe I saw a Red at Kroger yesterday.

My wife sent me to the store today to buy the groceries (a local Kroger).  In the aisle where they were taking down the Valentine's Day merchandise they had a few pallets of stock.  Perched on top was an unopened case V.

I pulled that case down, and scored my first Prince Wheeliam (on sale for $3.49).

Managed to pick up Alex Vandel, Nick Cartone, and Otis at the local flea market for six bucks each. Not exactly cheap, but it'll do for cars that I couldn't find on the pegs.

I've found tons of cars at flea markets…I recommend looking there! 😀
