Your right John. I just left my kmart with some silver mcqueens, guido & luigi & mildreds. They did not have any gold Rips to buy. On October 19th I will have to bring my receipt & return them & re-buy them again. I did not want to take any chances. Hopefully we will be able to get some Gold Rips or with some help from the GREAT PEOPLE on this sight.

I wouldn't mind helping out, but here's my dilemma. If you end up getting the Kmart day cases, you don't need the help. However, we won't know that until after the event. I plan on getting my cars for the mail-in at the event, but if I'm helping others, that's a lot more cars. Again I don't mind helping, and I suppose I could always return them if you guys end up getting your own, I just wish there was a way to know how many cars I need to get. I guess I'll plan on getting a few extra Rip, LMQ, Ruka and Mark and we can go from there.

Well Kmart in Brandon Florida has nothing left. Ill be able to sleep in on Saturday.
I do have some issues I'd like to point out for my cases I found
I broke the deal on 2 master cases 96 total cars
My findings:
12 rip (correct amount)
4 krate (correct amount)
5 mark (incorrect amount)
3 ruka (incorrect amount)
17 lmq (incorrect amount)
12 Mildred (incorrect amount)
12 boost (incorrect amount)
Didn't count the rest. Again I broke the seals so there were freshly opened by me. Any one else noticing this as well? Last week I found a case p at target that I opened that had 2 Ichigo and 1 ruka and no mark. Ive read about people breakibg sealed cases and no chase in it. Is Mattel really getting this lazy at repack?
 
So don't go to Brandon Kmart on Saturday or you'll be disappointed if you are in this area. Ill be updating my trade list later 🙂
Also there were NO posters at all.

This HAS to be the last Kmart day. No in-store promotion signs, no emails if you are a Kmart rewards member, no one at the stores having any clue or info on the event, stores ignoring the embargo. If it were to pass to another store, I think TRU would be the only candidate as they already have in-store events.

While I agree Toys R Us would do a better job then Kmart, I would much rather see Target take over on this event! There staff is much more knowledgeable and helpful for the most part, plus if it were at TRU we would be paying close to .75c more a car!

3 of 3 KMarts checked in Chicagoland had already (stickered and) pegged their KDay 10 cases. Only remnants left at 2, I'm splitting up the 3rd store's spoils as best as I can between fellow forum members. For me it's a good thing, since I cannot make the Saturday event, and only want 2 cars, but I find it doubtful that there will even be an event this time, at these stores anyway…. Good luck everyone!

I've been calling the stores here in Western Mass that already put out their cases last week and they are saying that they are still having the event this saturday! I wonder with what? KDay 9 cases?

My local Kmart stocked a fresh case M yesterday. Case N would have been better but at least it's something. Interesting that they already received case P and now went backwards.

Haven't been by the store this week but did get an email that my 2 promos shipped…yippee!
If I like them I may suck it up and get more…could always use some more lightning mcqueens 🙂

Stopped by a local KMart and actually found some new releases that were not just remnants of the collector day case. This is a store which only had synthetic tire cars when I visited in previous months.
No chase car, but finally got regular Rip and enough others to open for the mail-in. I was unaware that the cards didn't need to match so I'm regretting tossing a bunch of cards out just a couple weeks ago. Now I'm deciding on other ones to open instead of some from collector's day.
Just so I'm clear on this, the "Porta Cosa" cards which are acceptable are any that have that background on the card (even though some have copyrights from 2011), excluding the Kmart silver and synthetic tire series. Correct?

Neil, that is not correct. The silver racers and rubber tires are a different assortment and do not qualify. There are also some cards that have a sticker over the assortment number on the back of the card, which should be OK as long as you peel off the sticker before you send it.

I was traveling over the weekend and stopped at a random kmart. Found a rip and a boost on the shelf so I figured I'd ask if they had any stock in the back. The guy scans the car and tells me they have 152 more in the stockroom! He then proceeds to bring out sealed cases from the past 3 kmart cars events. I almost fell over! I picked up extras of Celine, acre with torch, Alexander Hugo with party hat, all of the metallic racers I could never find(shu, Carla, etc) and a few boost and metallic rips. I will be posting a trade list soon with these items. Must have been my lucky day!

Ordered the Kmart "deal of the day" Last week for a case of the latest cars day since we were unable to make it to Kmart for the event. Got the box today. My heart sank when I saw the box had been re-taped so I knew it was bad… full of silver LMQ and Francescos from the port corsa days. I was looking forward to the 2 girl cars in the case for my daughter. Didn't have the heart to tell her the package came today. Looks like this one is getting sent back (ha item now out of stock) Now onto ebay/amazon to pay 10 times the retail price. Ugh 🙁
