Swung by 2 of my Kmarts to check for deluxe restocks. Struck out there, but each had a fresh Cartney case. In my Kmarts they'll put Cars anywhere – on top of shelves, on other pegs down the aisle, lined up behind other boxes, etc. That unibody Miguel is a pretty good marker for that case. Knew that the Cartneys were probably there somewhere after seeing him. Going to try the 3rd tomorrow.

My local KMart got its 5th case in, so its been doing very well with the Deluxe. Singles on the other hand, they still have about 50 rubber, silver and regular Francesco and Lightning. And this was after I had picked up around 40 when they were $1 for Toys for Tots. Sad, as I have yet to be able to pick up a Cartney for a reasonable price.

Has anyone been able to call with the UPC's to Kmart and actually get what you want? I've called every Kmart near me, supplied UPC's and they would tell me they have 6 cars for that UPC, I get there and they only have 6 deluxe cars total, none for the UPC i had given them. Getting frustrated driving 30 miles each way and being disappointed.

It really depends on the Kmart. Some are very helpful, some not so much. I have called and been successful here in Florida. I also have asked them to actually go to the peg to check for Materhosen and FFan Mater to put them on hold. They were kind enough to do this for me, but again not all Kmarts are created equally.

Thanks for the tip, I called another Kmart and had them physically go check for FFM, Elvis, and Materhosen lucky me they had just put them out on the floor. 2 hour round-trip outing, but worth it, both kids slept the whole way and my Daughter was VERY excited, we had been hunting for this since June 4th (her birthday). Ivan offer in the mail now, double happy 🙂

When you give them ANY Deluxe UPC, the number they give you is for how many TOTAL Deluxe Cars that they have in stock. It's not an indication that they would have 6 FFMaters, for example.

Stopped by the Kmart in Fitchburg, MA and they had all the deluxe cars except FFM. Asked if they had anymore out back and the clerk brought out 2 deluxe cases and a singles case with Cartney! It doesn't hurt to ask sometimes.

My job takes me all over New England and I check out several places whenever I get a chance to. Their toy dept. was very nicely organized as far as Kmarts go!

The Tinley Park, IL Kmart has the biggest Cars section of any Kmart I've been to in the past 7+ years.

It all comes down to the employees…and some care and some obviously do not…walmart is never well stocked nor straightened…

I fix the Cars section when im out hunting(OCD?)…get some strange looks from people but im usually in a suit because its on my way home from work, so most people probably think I work there..lol
Mostly it is Walmart, sometimes kmart..Target as said above is usually pretty organized.

I find myself putting cars back on the correct pegs myself. As long as it is only just a few. If it is a complete mess, I just leave it.

lol…I do the same! I think my OCD comes from many years working at Blockbuster in my younger days, and having to straighten those coverboxes day after day.

SCORE DISNEY MATTEL PLANES AT KMART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  
Last night I walked into a Kmart and they had CASE A of the Planes ON THE PEGS!!! I got 2 of every plane and walked over to the scanner. They price checked at $5.99. I carried them up to the register grinning from ear to ear and doing a little happy dance in my head!! Well, all that excitement turned to frustration and disappointment when the clerk scanned the first one and said, "BEFORE SALE DATE" …. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO … Kmart's system cannot figure out a McQueen from a Celine and it somehow KNOWS these cannot be SOLD YET!!! SERIOUSLY?!?!??!
I had her call for the manager. The manager said there was nothing they could do as they were not in the system. She said that on the walkie talkie from where ever she was hiding as she would not come out to speak to me about the issue. I spent about 10 minutes trying to plead my case and ended up walking out dejected and empty handed … sigh …. I guess I will have to wait ….
