Never ceases to amaze me what bonehead thing we will see happen next at KMart. One of ours got like 12 master cases of K4 and they were putting them out every week even beyond event days 5 and 6. They ended up going on clearance and there was an entire endcap of them. We are talking like 30 rows with some depth. It was crazy. I got to help a bunch of folks out though, so that was nice. Crazy how it happens though. There is another store 10 miles away that only ever got 1 master case of day 4 and this joint had tons. We have seen some pretty scarce master case numbers with all of the Cars 2 events. I haven't seen one of our stores get more than 1 master case.

Well, I have stopped in to a couple Kmart stores this week and not one of them SLIPPED and put anything out early … and that includes the large POSTER SIGN that is normally at the front of the store … in 4 Kmart not ONE of them had the poster up … how are you going to get customers in for the event if you do not ADVERTISE this in your OWN STORE?!?!? What a shame

This is probably my least favorite day as we've only had assortment info since John in MO posted it the other day and we didn't even know this was HAPPENING until just a few weeks ago.

Found Lightning McQueen Hawk yesterday as well as Case D. The Buy 5 Get 1 free sale worked so I got 2 each of Victor and Vladimir, 1 Radiator Springs Ramone and a non-metallic Rod Redline.
Of course today at K-Mart I got 3 full sets of the K-Day 9 Cars (minus the McQueens) plus a 4th Mary Esgocar.

the kmart i went to (in upper michigan) didnt make much of a production of it: a folding table with one of the posters as a giant placemat, then all the cars laid out on top of the poster! My friend was there at 9am and got the other still-folded up poster; they gave me the placemat one when I got there at 12:15pm. When I first asked, the guy said it seemed to be the only one so maybe if I came back at the end of the day I could have it. I told him I was on my way back to Green Bay, so thanks anyway. I roamed around a bit more and as I got to the checkout, the guy came up to me and told me that he'd found his manager and gotten the okay to give it to me since the event was over at noon. So we went back there and the manager joined us to help slide the poster out from under the remaining cars. I love Upper Michigan people!! Can't get much nicer!!

We had a good day at Kmart today! We ended up about 3 minutes late to the event … thanks Kmart for closing the closest 3 stores we used to have … and when we got there, the same Family that was there at KDay 8. They were just finishing up with getting a a couple sets (minus McQueen) for them. Only one master case at this store. We got the event poster from the front of the store and left with some of what we needed for us and some overseas friends.
We then drove to the next Kmart to find it was cleaned out of everything except McQueen, Nigel, and Max. Had to travel to a 3rd Kmart to pick up the rest of what we needed for our friends. 7 hours, 120 mile round trip, Taco Bell lunch and day of fun hunting with the Kids … Priceless
BTW, my daughter LOOOOOVES Mary … and my son's Fav … Lewis

Stopped at a Kmart I haven't been to in a while today. I was going to see if they had any Kmart day Cars left. No Silver Racers anywhere but I did find a Galloping Geargrinder and a Security Guard Finn 2 pack. Both are now available for trade.

Second visit to any Kmart since Day #9. Was surpirsed to see the Leland Turbo 2-pack. Leland is pretty easy to find around here at Walmart, but have never seen him at Kmart or TRU.
Every last silver racer was gone too. When I first visted a couple of weeks after Day #9 the pegs were thick with silver Lightning McQueens and Francesco Bernoullis (from Day #8). I wonder what happened to them all?

Cartney!! …… Finally a new car I can't believe it and once again it was my mother in law who found it. The little man was happy today when she brought it over and so was I since I'm almost sure that's about it for me for 2012 cars…… Bring on the 2013's!!

Three Kmarts in Oklahoma and not a single silver racer, I did see Jeff and Carla launchers on clearance though.
