I went into a Kmart yesterday and had a flashback from 2009 …. 80% of a Case D lenticular case appeared out of no where at a store I visit once a week. All of your old school favorite's like Sally, Sheriff, Kathy Copter, Tex, Bling Bling MCQueen and Green Ramone were there … including …. wait for it … a minty card Chase King with CORRECT Piston Cup. Crazy find!! I guess they found it in the back room somewhere.

Nice score, jestrjef. I finally found one single, solitary, rubber-tire Lewis after hitting 5 Kmarts since Saturday. It was the only RT car on the peg besides McQ. Curious.

Hit 3here Kmarts in South Florida over the last few days. Only one had any hint of Day 7for Cars, a few LMQs.
I did find Pinion Tanaka at one of them though.

Yeah, I noticed. It was just weird that there were no remnants of that case- no
Carla, Max, Miguel, etc. Just the Lewis. This was the same Kmart that I showed up to for the actual event only to find that they didn't have any K7 cars or know of any event, even though they've hosted every one since K-day #1.

From what I was told by a person in the know this run was about 40% less then the normal runs of Kmart cars

It makes sense, considering for how long the last few Kday cases clogged the pegs.

Those are pretty cool. Unfortunately we'll never see those out here. We'll probably be stuck with the Tomber and Zen Master Pitty popcorn tins for another 6 months at the least.

This weeks K-mart circular says "select Cars 2 Die-cast car assortments" buy one, get one 50% off. Not sure what that means entirely. I'll be dropping by my nearest one later this week and report back

I stopped by a Kmart yesterday, all singles, two packs and deluxes were b1g1. A great deal if you are still on the hunt for Tomber, Fillmore CC or Sub FMM.

Saturday Nov. 5 Kmart Tewksbury MA (recently converted from a Sears Essential)-
Found Pinion Tanaka (last one) and the Carla w/ Crew Chief (Buy one get 50% Off the second item. No Cars Day Rubber tires, but plenty of Carla Crew Chiefs, Double Decker Bus, and the other sumo car.

I stopped in at the K-Mart on River Road, Puyallup, Washington to check on the K-Mart HOT WHEELS promotion. I could not believe the number of unsold castings from Cars, the Original from K-Mart Days 3 on. There were resolving racks and bins galore at $3.00 each. I know few people, if any, on this site have any interest in these. I mention this because, if I were K-Mart there would not be another Cars K-Mart Day ever. The only way to sell these off would be to repackage them and send them off to other retailers. I am glad I am not a stockholder in K-Mart/Sears.
I will probably go back and buy some to donate to Toys For Tots, et al. The only ones I bought for myself were the Paint Mask Lightning McQueens Chases (#131).

From Kmart 3? Really? I'd probably snag a bunch of those if that was my store. Come to think of it, that's only a couple hours from where I live…..
