I totally didn't even notice the change in the card but you're right, the back is also different as it has a picture of Rip on it.

I love the personalized card. It is bringing back the same theme as they did when they released the "Cars 1" cars in the collector cases. I just wish they would be consistent. Some of the cards are subtle changes, like Taco Mater and Drag Star Mater. Others have a "Model" number while others do not, Team McQueen and Intro McQueen for example. Some do not even have the portrait of the character on the back, Lime Green Ramone.
I am not sure why they are going in 4-5 different directions with the new packaging, but I wish it was all consistent.

I just saw 4 more Rips at another Disney store. They said they just put them out this morning, they received 6 today.

Another store in San Diego just got some in too. They said they had 4 left.
Each case has 12. I was informed that each store should get 1 or 2 cases. Once they receive that shipment, no more will be received. This information was from a DS employee / collector. I have no reason to doubt the reported information.

I just found this at a local DS. 625 cases with 12 per case is 7,500. I am not sure if this is accurate, but I thought I would share.

I went back yesterday with my coupon for 25% off. My DS has sold out of Rip. The DS had them on Sunday but as of yesterday, (Friday) are complete sold out. This store received 2 cases – 24 total. The case member told me that they were not getting any more in. People were buying 5/6 at a time.

If anyone was curious, that John Lassetire figure that is selling today at Off The Page is being sold for $150. It is roughly a 1:18 scale. Not sure on the edition size.
I couldn't find the original posting on the home page, so just put it here.

It is at Disney's California Adventure, Off The Page store inside the park. The signing is today at 2pm with John & Chip Foose. The figure is a seafoam green Lassetire truck.

I am actually at my local DS and look what I found: 
Long Ge and Rip.
The cast member told me that they received a ton of Rips this holiday season.
I will be updating the checklist shortly.

Long Ge is the latest officially released Chase edition. His release date was this past Monday, 24th.
Rescue Mater will be released soon. I am trying to find the official date of his release. One of my local Disney Stores has him in the store room, but they are not allowed to release him yet.
