Sooooo… we are on vacation in Chicago. Girls have 'tea time' reservations at American Girl at Water Tower, boys go for a walk and find Disney store down the street. My boy sees Stealth Mater and holds on to him for dear life. I couldn't resist the purchase since: a) it is a souvenir, b) it said "chase" on the box and c) I don't see this coming out in the regular line any time soon. We have only one other disney purchase – the monster truck set which we got just for Paddy (which is actually to scale and gives us 4 other monster trucks that I don't care if they get abused). Otherwise it would be an easy pass and I could have talked him out if it. It really stinks to see the Mater P.I., Matorama, McQueenORama sets, Queen, London Ramone etc., and not to second guess not purchasing. Hello! Mattel! We are out here and very willing to spend money! When will Mattel learn? It was even 2 for $12 but I only got the 1. Has anybody determined where Stealth Mater is in the movie? Doesn't really matter. The could have an un-stealth Mater and make him hot pink and I would still want him. It was so very hard to look past Taco Truck and Funny Car Mater. C'mon Mattel! Build it and we will come!

Thanks Unixed. We were about to investigate the Tall Tales in search for him since we couldn't remember seeing him. My daughter said "maybe he is in Cars 3!". Stealth Finn would have been our 2 for $12 had the boy found him.

Thanks for the tips, Mike! We are actually headed to Legoland today and everybody is excited for the adventure. We picked up Mater and Finn at the Water Tower Lego store yesterday, which are souvenirs till the kiddos are old enough to play legos. I am about to head out get our White Castle fix right now and will of course hit up TRU, WM and Target (Naperville area). Not expecting anything new but I have to anyways (y'all know the feeling). I have fond memories over the years of visiting here and finding Cars like Yeti, Vinyl hauler and the original xmas set that I never found elsewhere, so you never know…
