Nice pics Unixed.
I almost wish my Franz had wings on already. The Cars case tops popped off so easy. I was using a tiny screwdriver and still couldn't get the darn top off Franz so I left it. Rather have a case in excellent condition than worry about wings being up 🙂

My store only had Franz with wings down, and they only had 2 left of Franz, Chug & Ned. They're all removed from the DS site now.

I wish I was privy to the DS lineup! All I do is scour eBay. When I see a new model show up I assume he is a new release. I then call my local DSs and ask if they have the new model or if they have a release date on the new model.
I found the purple Tokyo Mater on eBay and already inquired. I think they gave me a bunk date though. Normally on release day the item shows up on disneystore.com, where he currently is not. Mondays (unless a holiday fell on a Monday) is typically when disneystore.com updates merchandise.

Both my stores had no knowledge of this car, and they both were not even showing any shipments coming in this week. On top of that I stopped by any way because I was in the area, and the Cars selection was very thin! Usually it is overflowing with cars! Not sure whats going on…they did have a full stock of Planes however, which become more tempting each time I walk in there!

Scavenger I purchased ours at the disney outlet (located in the tanger outlets) in pigeon forge TN if you want to call and order one. I have called several times and ordered over the phone before with no problems. 🙂

Sorry but I feel like quoting Fillmore… "Respect the classics, man"
I've become used to seeing non-canon DS releases but this one, especially just weeks after the fantastic original Tokyo Mater (thanks again Scavenger), just leaves me stone cold. There's just no reason or excuse for such a weird and lazy repaint. Why?? A big fat "meh".
At least Ice Cream Mater (formerly Taco Truck), as god awful as it was, had some sort of quirky charm if you like that sort of thing.

My wife went to look for a Purple Tokyo Mater today. No dice.
But she did text me something equally as cool. Ramone O' Rama!
All but one are new for me too.

Release date for the Purple Tokyo Mater is the 8th of July, along with the Black Tractor.
The Prince is news to me, AWESOME! Non chase version too. And here I thought they might kill this line since Planes will take over.

I was excited to see the tractors, that's one of my sons favorite characters so I bought him a few to play with. The prince is new to us since we never found a Mattel version.
