So I make my bi-weekly stop at my nearest Super WalMart and help them clean up the pegs in the Cars section. I'll seperate the characters by peg. This is the result of the last trip. Yup, 40 Finn McMissiles and only 1 Petrov. NO other characters. Not even a lowly McQueen. Remember the days of just seeing red? I guess gray is the new red?
The joke is on us! It turns out that Finn McMissile is really the Apple iCar in disguise. If you turn him over, you'll notice that his rivets are actually buttons. If you press them in the correct sequence, the Finn McMissile disguise comes off to reveal a mint Apple iCar. Try it, you'll be amazed!
John – The sad thing about it is that in the system it look like they have 41 of that item on the pegs. Yup, no need to restock/reorder. We've got plenty…
That is exactly what killed the original Movie Moments a few years back. Every Wal-Mart had dozens of Buzz & Woody 2-packs, so they never saw the need to order new cases. The creators of the UPC are probably crying because the Big Box Stores all use assortment codes versus the UPC.
By the way, I would have purchased that Petrov just because it wasn't Finn McMissile.
