Found an old ramones house of art marked down to $10 today at TRU. I'm really kicking myself for not picking up the original playsets, especially after seeing jestrjefs collection.
Also found a different siddley at disney, seems to be same scale as the one found elsewhere but has a different action and comes with a spy finn. I passed but instead got the monster truck 6 pack for paddy oConcrete. Set was marked down to $15 and with the 20% off purchase sale (which ends tommorow, sunday) ended up at $12. Not tooooo bad for one car. Plus the 2yr olds got the rest to play with. They were all surprisingly close in scale (but not in quality)
Also also, forgot to mention I found a patti at big lots a few weeks ago. Lots of wear, but I had to buy her (even tho we have her from the kmart event), she just looked so sad & lonely. How did she end up there? A return somehow? Extremely left over stock?

The case that Patti came in was HUGE at Big Lot's a while back. You could find Todd and the rest of the cool ROR cars there as well. Patti must have fallen behind something in the stockroom or under the racks on the floor. Nice find!! 🙂

Interesting @ big lots. I went into my first one last year after hearing something on T5 but found nothing and never returned. Until a few months ago when I saw another tip and sure enough found miles, leroy, marco, etc. I had no idea this town had so many, I've been to all 5 getting cheap color changers and playsets.
On another note, in addition to finding metallic jeff at TRU today, I also saw they had the 3 pack action agent boat set. I had already found my crabby which is all I wanted from that series, especially after seeing the price of the action agent cars.

"Big Lots" is like saying "huge gigantic." Is anyway else out there NOT having fun searching for the KMart exclusive crew chief 2-packs? In 300 miles between Chicago and Iowa City, Iowa, I've found 2 stores that had them, and I had been beaten to the punch both times. I was able to get 1 opener and 1 keeper of Fillmore with Headset/McQueen so I'm… half-happy. It just feels a bit like searching for Final Laps… exciting but mostly icky. Good luck, all!

My area is good if you want Metallic Jeffs, Tyler Gremlins, or Fillmore with Headphones. Carla, Francesco, or Jeff crew chiefs, Metallic Nigels, Pinion Tanaka, Sal, or Security Guard Finn? Not so good.

I've got two Wal-Marts in town — one never got the Tyler 2-packs, whereas the other one put out 12 at the same time (but only one Fred Pacer 2-pack). They haven't restocked since, and I've never seen them at any other Wal-Mart.

I was really surprised to pick up the first nigel and think "wow, that's not too bad". Same with the second and third. Unlike jeff where I was forced to pick the best of the worst, which still wasn't very good.

Nothing new anywhere around here  So I've just been opening some I've had for months that I never did open, like Stripped Kabuto, Fred w/ Fallen Bumper, assorted Lightyear Launchers (which I think are the best launchers), assorted normal Launchers, other racers, and some other stuff.

Batavia, NY: Picked up a bunch of K4 & K5 racers for $2.80 each and a few older Cars 1 singles for $2.40 each. If there's anyone in that area, I did leave a bunch of RPM #64 Rubber Tires hanging there!

Our Tucson kmart has a tub of old #4 & #5 rubber tires marked down to"clearance" for $3.50. If they were actually marked down to a clearance price like slicepie found I would be more tempted to pick up some extras.
Also saw there for the first time a mega garage playset with 6 plastic cars (guido, luigi, sarge, filmore & probably mcqueen & mater, can't remember). If I were to spend $50 on a playset it would be this one (instead of the tiny in comparison radiator springs stow and go playset).
And still no crew chiefs.
