I had told my wife that I was going to a conference after work (which I did, no lies). This conference usually takes me about 30 minutes, plus drive time, total around 1.5 hours that I am away from home. I left to go there at 3:30, and of course had to stop at a few stores on the way there… and on the way back. By the time I was coming home it was 7:30, so I figured I should hurry home so she didn't get suspicious of all of the time spent (also have 3 kids at home she was watching). Miraculously she didn't call to see where I was until I was 3 blocks from home. No problem right? wrong. Cops don't like it when you drive away from them while pulled over. It took me 15 more minutes to travel those 3 blocks home. She caught me only when she saw the ticket. Not sure what that will cost yet. The worst part? Didn't find a single car that I didn't already have.
