Not compacted this time, and not a bad size next to Mattel's Finn:
The closest match I could find to Leland was the Jaguar E-Type, but not the usual slope-back one (like David Hobbscap). There was a convertible with a hardtop that looks pretty close, though it's missing the chrome strip down the hood.
Corgi released a burgundy one in the early 60's, and I got hold of a decent one and added some eyes…what's great is the hardtop lifts off, so a little paper insert cut just right fits inside.
The grill isn't a bad match…Corgi made it more like Leland's than the actual one, which was more recessed. (The 70's E-Type was closer to Leland's.)
There's a little Photoshop touch-up on the photos, but only to clean up scuffs…everything else is really there. He'll do till the real thing comes along!

Add a couple of LEDs and he'd be Lights Leland, nice job.

Wow, very impressive! I can only wish I could do something like that. My lack of imagination and patience make it impossible for me to do anything like that.

Thanks! But I don't have a lot of patience or skill at this either. I hesitate to even call it a "custom"…Corgi did all the work 50 years ago; I just found some eyes online and did a little adjusting of color and expression so he had his "OMG" look, and printed them out and cut them to size. They fit right into the windshield with the top off. Very low tech! Now the REAL customizers here…that's skill, patience, and imagination!
