Yup, coordinating with BobbyJack has made Cars hunting a lot better for us both. I live in Frederick and work in Columbia so I will hit the Dobbin Road stores and the Frederick stores about once a week, unless something new is starting to show, then I will visit them more often.
If you count everywhere from Harrisburg to Fredericksburg, we probably have as many Cars collectors as any place in the country.

Hi guys, I have just started collecting the 1:55 die-cast cars also. Here is my situation. I cannot afford to buy everything, my main focus is buying Cars 2 for my son to play with and some to collect, and I have started buying the Radiator Springs Classics for myself to keep in the packaging. I got lucky and scored the first wave at toys r us and the multi packs. I am debating on whether to get Flo's Cafe because if they are not going to re-release the rest of the playsets for radiator springs, I don't want to waste my money.
For me it is about time also. I cannot drive all over town everyday, so I decided to focus on the main characters for Cars 2. For example, I am not going to bother with Becky Wheelin, Bindo, etc. But I want all the gremlins, racers, etc. However, for Cars 1, my focus is to get all of them. Now that they are re-releasing a lot of cars from Cars 1, it looks like i got in at the right time.
There is a lot more I want to write, but I gotta go. By the way, the Kmart on route 50 in fairfax has Security Guard Finn Mcmissile two pack, and the two pack with Mater and Sal Machiani (Ape) They appear to have several if you all are looking for those guys. Anyway, I will help you all out in anyway I can. Thanks everyone, I plan to keep in touch as much as I can.

Guys, can I ask a few questions. I have the Radiator Springs Classics Piston Cup 500 track set. I have not opened this yet, but was wondering if it works well? I've read good and bad things about this track.
Have any of you seen Kabuto around the area. My son wants that one bad.
Do you guys ever get together and hang out and talk Cars collecting?

Never got the Piston Cup 500 track. Waited for it to go on clearance a few years ago, but never saw it. $60 is a bit to much with all the other stuff to get.
Haven't seen Kabuto around here in a Cars 2 package. Haven't seen him since the Toons were out 2 years ago and even then he was pretty rare.
Tom and I meet up to trade cars and text each other when we find new stuff or to warn each other not to waste our time at other locations. Send a PM with what you are looking for. We might know where to find it.

Anyway – we're here, Northern Va/DC area. I usually can do Fairfax, Springfield, Woodbridge area TRU, Target, Walmart, etc …
Since joining T5, we've been in upstate NY and SC (we're military) and I've done pretty well here so far at times.

Hi everyone! I guess it is a bit of a stretch to include myself in this group down in Richmond, but I do make it up to your neck of the woods now and then. Usually Fredericksburg and Woodbridge. I started collecting about 6 months ago (posted my collection in the "Behold" forum under "New Collector" if you are interested). Being new at this, I probably won't make a great trader just yet, but if you are looking to sell off some stuff, I'd be a good target.

The Frederick Target has had a case F. The Finn is still on the pegs.
Rockville, Md has had several case Fs at Target, as has Leesburg, VA. Best bet would be Rockville right now as they seem to be replenishing at a pretty decent rate.

Found some F in the Williamsburg Target! Everything but Franca & Harumi.
I did pick up some extras if anyone is looking to trade
Edit: Franca & Harumi have been found at a Richmond Target.
