Its small as Mattel stores go, there's usually a better Cars selection at the City of Industry location. (one visit they had 300 Wal-Mart haulers on the shelf)
Most fun is the corporate store at Mattel headquarters in El Segundo. (LAX) Most visits are a waste of time but every so often non-US packaging or hard to find Cars show up there. Prices are often full retail 'tho.

Great news!
I found Pope and Popemobile at the Wal Mart in Perris!
I also found the Jeff Gordon and Francesco crew chiefs at the Kmart in Riverside off of Alessandro!
Hooray! They finally made it to California!

I saw one today as I walking into the toy section at SD Aero Drive Walmart.
Someone else had it in there hand… womp womp.
I found a Kmart that has the McQueen Alive. Saturday I am going to buy them all when I am there Buy 1 Get 1 half off.

I found 1 lonely Denise Beam 4 pack at the Target in Moreno Valley and I've been finding the Jeff Gorvette/ Francesco 2 packs at most Kmarts I've walked into lately.

It looks like your good luck is wearing off on me! I walked into a CVS in Moreno Valley today and struck gold. I found a Race o Rama Frank in the toy section. No bents or tears in the packageing either. What a nice Christmas gift!
They also had RPM, Vitoline, No Stall and Retread launchers and the Dinoco Showgirls 3 pack, Dinoco McQueen/Mia/Tia 3 pack and Charlie Checker/McQueen/King 3 pack. (The 3 packs were $20.99 there!)

San Diego had some 2 packs of Security Finn & Sal for $3.97!
I grabbed an extra Security Finn if anyone can do a trade for Leland or Mama.

My son started watching the movie early this year (he's 2.5) and we started collecting the cars just this summer (he plays with them). We started in time to get the convoy brothers which is great as they're so much on ebay. Have you found any of the super chase?

I started when my oldest was around that age too. Now he's 5 and moving on to other toys (legos, imaginext, etc.). I haven't moved on though. I still buy him cars for his collection but I don't worry about getting him every release. (Sometimes its hard enough to find 1 of a new release!)
My collection, on the other hand, is fairly new. I really started my own collection with the Cars 2 release. I think thats 2011/ 2012 releases and I'm slowly building my Cars 1 collection.
I've only found Takeshi and Hiroaki at a Toys R Us and that was by chance. I have seen about two dozen case H's in the stores around me but never a case R with Yukio. I think they all went out East. I've only seen maybe 3 Californians post that they've found Yukio out here.
What about you?

No luck at all 🙁 the targets and walmarts around me have no singles for at least a month now. Toysrus are fully stocked but all are case G and the retro stuff. I've bought most of our cars from fellow collectors in the area. It's expensive to collect these.

Hey SoCal crew!
Its been awhile! Life took me out of the game for awhile but I'm back now and ready to catch up.
