The last two weeks have been very kind to this lemon. When Target started the 1.99 deal and Walmart was having the red bin, I started hitting them pretty regular. Got all the 2013 guys I needed, but kept missing out on Rip. Finally found him at Target, obviously pure luck that the case was just put out since the entire case B was there. Few days later I hit Kmart and among a bunch of HH McQueens was a Cartney Brakin. Then to top it off, I changed jobs last week and figured I would stop in the Kmart on the way home since I had never been to that one. They had a strange set up where they put a bunch of singles on a shelf and right smack in the front and center was a Geargrinder! I couldn't believe it and after I grabbed it I looked around and someone has stashed another on its side and on the shelf below (sorry, whoever that was).
So, 3 cars that I figured I might never find in the wild, knocked out. If anyone wants the extra geargrinder, I will trade for Prince Wheeliam, otherwise I'll ebay it to help offset the cost of cars I bought for too much (Mama T and Leland…)

You're lucky.
I've have been to so many Targets and Wal-marts with hopes of finding Rip, Eric, and Kabuto.
All time time and gas money I've put into in and my complete inability to have patience I ended up buying them on eBay. Got all three for under $27 so not TOO terrible but $1.99 a piece would of been better.
I am still on the hunt though just not going to go everyday now.

Thought I might keep my hot streak going, so I went to a Target and Walmart during my lunch break, but no dice. Pegs were bare so maybe there will be some restocking soon.

Wow, great hunting Otis! Good eye for the second Geargrinder, wow!
I may have to go the eBay route for Rip I guess, and just get one. I think 3 or 4 tanks of gas just to be beat to every single Rip is enough wasted $ for now. Not a very fun end to my Cars "career." (insert booing). If anyone wants to have mercy on this glum Cars nerd, I will gladly pay like $10 or $12 per $2 Rip if you have 2 or 3 to spare.

Thanks, Fillmore! I'm not completely done, but will have to pull back considerably now that Manifold Jr. has lost interest. Mildred Bylane will definitely pull me back in. RVs would do the trick as well…. Hopefully Baby Manifold will get into it so that we can open some of these Cars I had been amassing LOL.

Has anyone actually seen the sidekick at Walmart? I never even saw the empty display. Could this be part of the Valentines reset that there has been some talk about?

No sign of sidekicks or dump bins from Chicago northside all the way up to Zion and all the way out to Schaumburg. Never was able to catch a Rip in the wild. I have seen the Movie Moments 2-packs (Austin Littleton, etc) at a few Walmarts and Targets (thanks again Bubba); and curiously they are slightly cheaper at Target. Maybe this was mentioned before, but I noticed the Bob Cutlass/Darrel Cartrip does include the pre-Cars 2 Darrel with molded eyes and corrected (not clown) mouth. Good luck fellas!

Well, I guess the good thing is that it's very unlikely that all 3 of us missed it so it probably never made it's way out here. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the reset…

Never got a Rip in the wild either Mike 🙁
Lucky I got him and another for a really reasonable price on eBay (which I never say).
I'll for sure let you guys know when/ if I ever see the sidekick.
Even though nothing new has arisen I still check at least once a week.

Found case C at the Walmart on Army Trail rd (I think that's bloomingdale). Must have been one of the first to get there and they must have had at least two cases because everything was there and there were a bunch of Cone McQueens. I got the last Tubbs and no brand new Mater, but a bunch of pairs for the two kids, so the Easter baskets are starting to take shape.
I really can't wait for case D, but this was a pretty nice one.

Found case C last week on a random trip to Walmart after bowling because the wife wanted a soda. It was sitting on the pallet just waiting for me 🙂
But my question is have any of you found the new two packs at all?

no new 2-packs, also have not found the endcap thing. 1 of 4 Walmarts nearest me got a case C in and of course only the Rips and YDBombMaters were gone when I viewed the case. I'm like a strikeout king now. I got a field report that Wallys way out west of me also did not get the magical new stuff in as of yet. Waste of time to hunt; reminding me to spend more time playing in the snow with the kids, reading, etc (ok then, thanks Mattel, and thanks Walmart)….

Hey, does anyone know where we will find the easter microdrifters? I thought the post said they weren't going to be at Target and Walmart, so would that be Jewel and Walgreens for us?
I told myself I wasn't going to get my kids those, but they have gotten some from other people and got hooked. Then they saw Dinoco LM on youtube with the egg packaging and thought it was really cool. Sigh.
