Are they the same size? I only have the Cars 2 one, so I can't do a side by side. Anyone know the answer on this one?

Met did a detailed post on this subject back when Cars 2 Red was first released. Can't remember the answer though. Cars 2 red has more plastic, especially in the front. Disney Store Cars 1 Red was in better scale to the Matty cars, I believe, and better for displays. Cars 1 Red is heftier, more metal, but less prominent mouth sculpt.

Found it! Met's conclusion was that DS Red was the most to scale, with Cars 1 red being the smallest of the three. Also DS Red had more accurate and better defined detailing.

Thanks Mike! I might have to see if I can pick up DS Red now, that article made some compelling points. Or, I might be just be bored from the lack anything new and am trying to come up with something else to hunt for…
