I am just starting my collection and came across a collection which I have not seen yet. From my understanding the collection consists of over 100 cars primarily from the original Waves up to WOC. These are all diecast which is my target.
The cost of these cars would be less than 2.50 per car. I do not have a list at this time of what is in the collection. The current owner states that all are in mint condition or as close as possible to it.
Question is and is vague due to not exactly knowing what is in the collection yet would you buy it if you were me? I am very interested in it and will be able to see it this weekend. I am told all Wave 1.5 cars and possible Wave 1 cars as he said they started purchasing just before and as the first movie came out. Again not sure on this since I have not seen the collection.

Are the cars carded? I suppose that either way it's a good deal, but if they are carded and you're getting around 100 cars for $250 that sounds like a great one…unless it's a bunch of duplicates and some of the rarer ones are missing. Keep us informed on how this works out.

I am not sure what you mean by carded? Does this mean that they are on the Jhook cards? If so than yes they are all on Jhook cards that are said to be in great shape.
I am going to see the collection this weekend and will post on the outcome.

Yep, that's what I meant. Good luck, it sounds like a sweet deal.

I would say any Cars on card that are not lenticular and not a bunch of duplicates are well "worth" $2.50 a piece. That is cheaper than retail has ever been on Cars. Even lenticulars are worth at least $2 each in my estimation, especially if you are going to open them.

Some lents are actually fetching pretty good money on Ebay, too.

Ok so I went for it. Here is a quick overview of what I think I got. I may be using an old checklist also. Not sure where to get the most up to date one.
- 95 single cards cars broken up in below bullets
- Most of them are Supercharged and World of Cars
- 8 of them are from Wave 1.5
- 2 of them are from wave 1
16 multi packs
- 12 of which are movie moments (10 Supercharged 2 WOC)
- 4 are gift packs
- All cars are sealed (although I would not consider some cards mint and I am a noob so i am sure it is worse than I think. Two cards are pretty bad with one card blister pack partially opened on Impound McQueen #73)
total is 131 cars and I do not have what appears to be a single duplicate from any wave.
I do not know where to plug the World of Cars Race or Rama cars in the checklist I am using.
I also posted a question in the error group to ask a question.
Once I figure out how to post pictures on this board i will post pictures if there is interest.

Even with the damaged cards, you still got a great deal. Enjoy your new hobby!
