Now that Cars 2 is in full swing, I've been going through my Cars 1/Cars Toons trying to make sure I didn't miss anything. A few questions that I know Met or anybody can answer.
1) Was there ever a Daredevil McQueen with Flames made?
2) Kabuto with flames?
2) Are there any differences in the Buck Tooth Vendor 4-Pack?
I don't have this set and wanted to know if Buck Tooth, Daredevil McQueen, or Lug and Nutty have anything unique to this set?
It appears as if the Daredevil McQueen from this set has a worried teeth clenched look. Whereas the Deluxe version shows no teeth. Then there is a Buck Tooth version from the Props McGee 4 pack. Yet on KC/T5AD's Expanded Universe Magazine page 14, it shows only 2 different Daredevil McQueen's. One with a worried look, and one with buck teeth. I don't see the Deluxe single no teeth version?? Not sure…please help

Some prototypes of the two cars with flames versions were made. A few made it out on ebay from the usual backdoor sellers. Never sold at retail.
Daredevil Mcqueen
Aviator 4-Pack – buck teeth
4-Pack with Buck the tooth vendor – mouth frowning
#8 Daredevil LM single – mouth closed puckered lips.

What adds to the confusion is that #7 daredevil with flames is listed on the Chuy cardback, so some think it was released.

THEY PULLED THEM DUE TO CHOKE HAZARD, THE FLAMES SECTION COMES OUT RATHER EASY BOUGHT A FEW OF THE KABUTO'S MYSELF HAD ONE ON THE TRADE BOARD FOR A COUPLE DAYS BUT NO INTEREST ,AS THESE ARE VVVHTF

Yep, just like the three Haulers on the back of Ben and Oliver: View Zeen, Vitoline, and Gasprin. And of course thanks to the Toys R Us ad, everyone also thinks that Shiny Wax Hauler was released.

Toon Deluxe – #16 is Mater the Aviator, #17 is Mater the Greater – neither was released in singles packaging. Both were released in 4-Packs.
Toon Singles – #44 Heavy Metal Mater was never released as a single, only in the 4-Pack.
