Keep 'em coming.  These are fun to look at.  I wish I knew what happened to all my cars from when I was a kid.

I don't know, maybe they are still buried under the tree, or in the sandbox?  Speaking of cars from way back when…. did anyone else on here go through a childhood phase of destroying your HotWheels and Matchbox cars?  I tried my best to blow up a much-hated El Camino with fireworks, but it was one tough little car.  I think I still have it somewhere. Crashing cars together in a crash-up derby produced nothing more than some scratched paint – discouraging.  Finally I discovered the most amazing car crusher at our grandparents' house – a homemade popcan crusher flattened hotwheels completely.  This was a heavy metal plate on the ground, fastened to another metal plate with a hinge, like a sandwich bun. The top metal plate was fastened to a long wooden handle. You would simply place the broken down car between the metal plates and then apply pressure with the wooden handle – c rruuuush – junkyard heaven!  I assume that destroying toys is kind of a common fantasy, and so there was some genius in developing a movie where toy-like cars get destroyed and crushed.  It reminds me of the car-crushing scene during Finn's karate battle with the lemons.

I destroyed a few Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars growing up.  Not that many though, I think I melted more G.I.Joes.  They looked cooler after Cobra hit them with napalm.Laugh

Oh man, that's brutal.  Poor soldier toys.  If I remember correctly, soldiers actually get hurt and killed in the old GI Joe comics, but in the 80's cartoons no one gets killed – all of these lasers, bullets, and missiles flying through the air but no one seems to take a hit, they just get punched out.

I was into the comic book for a few years.  Lots of the nameless and faceless Cobras got killed in the comic.  The Joes would get wounded quite often but never killed while I read it.  If the character had a toy, Hasbro would not allow the character to be killed…Unless they weren't selling that toy anymore.Wink
