With the “more to come” listing and announcement of “40” CARS to come on the back of the forthcoming Target “classics” CARS … some things to clear up …
The “40” list is a ‘general listing’ for August 2009 to October 2010.
As always, just because it’s on a list does not mean it will come out in that time frame nor does it mean if something is not on that list, it mght come out anyway …
Because we will also get these as three-packs … again, tentatively listing and things could change …

Ahhh the turmoils of a recovering cars addict!
Why are we all so obsessed over these little toys? Were we all deprived as kids or something. I find myself reading up on all of the websites I can find today to see what all cars I have missed or didn’t know was out. I think we need to start a 12 step program.

Just got back from a family VK in California, and saw my first sighting of lenticulars, but of course no Sarge….. I am sorry to say that these are even worse than I imagined as the eyes (or something) goes up and down, but it does not look like blinking in the least. Also if you look from different angles, you lose some of the eyes, and it the cars just look freaky. I for one will NOT pay for one of these marked up travesties……. Target here I come. I have a feeling the lenticular line will be short lived, and hope so as the Walmart Gorilla will not be happy with the sales of these awful things in even worse case assortments.
I saw my first Lenticulars this past weekend, and feel they’re as much of a travesty as the Pullbacks were. Mattel needs to drop Lenticulars (and Mini’s and Shake ‘n’ Go’s and New Coke), and just stick with the “Classic” 1:55 diecasts.
…oh, and make the Haulers as big as they should be too. (had to throw that in there)
wasn’t sure where to post this, but we got a lenticular radiator springs lightning mcqueen and the white is pink, I know it showed up on the classic line but I thought they might have fixed the problem. Anyone experience the same?

Blowing Bubbles Mater was in the ‘R’ rated version.
Donna Pits is a rusty car in the Rusteze tent.
Vern is seen at the entrance the Los Angeles Speedway.
oh wait.. Blowing Bubbles Mater I guess is referring to Mater blowing spit bubbles in the courtroom during McQueens trial. At least I think it was in the courtroom….
**Blowing Bubbles Mater is where Mater yawn while Sally is making her little speech in the courtroom during Lighting’s court appearance…..as he yawns, a large, clear bubble forms from his mouth!

Great, I think this is going to open my collection again after stopping due to hot wheels fatigue.
I think the jumping McQueen idea is pretty cool but do we really need more race damaged Cars? Also if Mattel are going to the effort of making Jumping McQueen with suspension showing, surely they can also make hydraulic Ramone?
Pretty sure he is coming in Over/Mega sized…have you noticed CTC new ad, it features hydraulic Ramone… I am pretty sure that is an indicator of his upcoming release!

New Cars is great news, having to try and find them at Target?….not so much.
How about being able to buy 2 new Cars a month, in a subscription or by online ordering, delivered to your home anywhere in the world via shipping of your choice? “Cars of the month” club, kind of like the old days when it was a “book of the month” club or a “album (then CD) of the month” club… you could buy multiple copies, and wouldn’t get stuck with any you didn’t want because you forgot to mail back the card stating send nothing this month.
I do want to collect multiples of all of these… just like everyone else.
I had an idea like this awhile back.
To be able to order the Cars(sans packaging) in mail-order baggies through mattycollector….sorta like how Hasbro did with GI Joes back in the 80’s …
SOLD! I would TOTALLY do this. But I think the toy cos are heistant to do this kind of thing because it takes away the “thrill of the hunt” aspect of collecting ad they think they will lose collectors. But I could do with more “thrill” less “hunt”.

my target had the bad idea of stocking too many of the same case.they constantly bought 1 case and sold out in a day so i guess they decided to stock 10 of the same case.Boy i tell you 1 of us should be toy manager its not just buying a lot to make the money its buying maybe 3 at a time of the new cases. as for wm they just last night removed the price tags on the empty (for a month)pegs so hopefully new eyes ones with be there shortly(probably after everyone else has them)

While we’re on the subject there’s a few I’d like to interject: THUNDER Chick (should have been in with the green Mia and Tia for the sake of continuity), PLOW McQueen (What is wrong with me, suggesting yet another pegwarmer McQueen?!), and I’ll heartily agree about the tar Tunerz!
I’ve been wanting a THUNDER chick hicks forever – think it would even make a great Chase car! It gets enough screen time to justify the diecast for sure.

What ever happen to ‘sepia tint’ Hudson Hornet? That is the chase car I was most excited about, now it is more Tunerz…. Ransburg – great chase idea! , Tar – not so exciting …

Please stop stuffing our cases with Lighntning McQueens and Ramones. In order for sales to be profitable to the Target Corp and Mattel, case packs should be 78% new castings and 22% old favorites. That is 14 new Cars per case of 18!! This will cut down on Car Scalpers, Target pegs clogged with unsold stock and ensure that Target Corp. will continue to buy the Classic line for years to come.

I think Walmart may be working on the same letter – after stocking 4 cases of the new lenticulars in the past week or two, I stopped in yesterday and the only lenticulars left were 22 Mcqueens and 1 Doc Hudson all hanging there with their googly-eyes. Who the hell thought packing 9 Mcqueens to a case was even remotely smart?
I guess that mean no Saluting Sarges . . . 🙁

Anyone else underwhelmed with the lenticulars? The eyes change, but to me it looks like as if they have no eyes at all for a lot of the angles…
